I think when Steve mentioned the leaks not being acurate he was talking about Faarooq and Bradshaw being the Acolytes. Maybe they can't or won't do those versions and it's another APA attire. If that's the case then it's so stupid. We still don't have any representation of JBL from his world title run. If they waste a chance to make that or the OG acolytes for another APA look... ...wasn't that the E23 figure? |

The APA figures were the biggest disaster in the Mattel line imo.
I’d be really happy if they knocked it out of the park with the Acolytes

That dude looked bloated 24/7 so they definitely need to retool him a bit. |

If you want another figure from his title run released because you weren't collecting at that time, then most people probably wouldn't have an issue with your reasoning. That's not what you originally said though - you said that we still don't have any representation of JBL from his world title run, which is false. When people respectfully informed you that he was released in E23, you doubled down and said that it was a generic look, which again is wrong as it was pointed out that was his attire/look from W21 when he lost the title. That would be equivalent to me saying that Mr. Perfect was never released from his intercontinental run (because his figure was way too skinny, had a generic singlet that he wore more than once, and I wasn't collecting when it was released). It sounds like you want him to be released again and be improved from his prior release (something that Steve and Bill have said they take into consideration on how to update/improve if they are going to revisit a previously released look/era). You said it was "so stupid" if they do APA again, but those figures were pretty bad and can be improved upon and what about the people that weren't collecting then (like you weren't for E23)? I have both, but I personally would want improved APA over improved E23. Steve has also mentioned that people come and go/Legends deals expire and it seems like JBL hasn't been signed for a awhile now (prob since he left his commentary role shortly after the bullying stories/issues with Mauro came out). If he is in an upcoming Legends line, my own speculation is that he recently became available again to them. If that's the case, it's hard to fault them for only 2 elites in the 10yrs if he wasn't available to Mattel for that whole time. |

I’d love another JBL. Even if it was the same attire as E23 but with a new head, double jointed arms, and better torso.
I had his E23 when I was first collecting, but I sold it off when I sold my collection off.

I'd prefer a Justin Hawk Bradshaw or Acolytes Bradshaw over another JBL... I get that not everyone was collecting then, but what about those who were? If Mattel have the rights to a person (who doesn't have many figures either), I'd much rather they make new looks or gimmicks over an update of a previously released figure.

I really think Foley deserves an Ultimate Edition figure - and my vote would be Mankind in brown tights/white shirt look. It's the most iconic match (and moment!) of his career... plus, we've only ever had that look as a Basic 🤷♂️. |
