yeah no an L5 Martel re-release without jacket is dumb imo people would still buy it but would (rightfully) complain about no jacket What's dumb about it? Royal Rumble 91, arguably one of his highlight moments in WWE, when he set the ironman record. The same event, he cuts a promo in the full gear (bowtie, glasses etc) without the jacket and comes to the ring without the jacket. It'd hardly be a shocking or dumb choice. because it should come with the jacket |

Additionally, in some other collector markets even if an item is almost exactly re-released, there's still additional value applied to the "original version" in many cases. Not that they should massively care about what the resale market is doing, in fairness. Ultimately, from a business standpoint, a re-release would: a) be accessible for new collectors b) be accessible for current collectors who missed out c) probably FOMO a decent % of the current collectors who had the original into getting the re-release They could just make tiny adjustments. For example, L5 Rick Martel could be re-released without the jacket. Seem strange to anyone else that they still haven't announced what Legends 15 is going to be? Seems like 14 was announced several waves prior. Are they seriously waiting til Mania weekend?

However, Mattel also takes forever to release talent we want and then by the time they want to release “X” figure, they’re either fired or done something to not warrant them. Also, still wondering why we still have ratchet hips in 2022. |

If they make a new Martel they need to do this one: I don't know if it would be doable or not, but if they could make the pump articulated as well so you can pose him spraying his arrogance, that'd be amazing. |

The suggestion is an entirely viable workaround - depicts a real attire but isn't identical to a previous release. Reasonably simple premise. |

Speaking of chases, maybe that’s a fair work around for releasing previously done attires. Make them a chase figure so people who don’t need or want them can skip them.

Has there even been a true re-release since the 2-pack Papa Shango? Even that and the lost Legends HBK had some deco changes/improvements. At this stage I have zero issue with releasing already done attires when it makes sense - high secondary market prices, wrestlers who don't have a lot of attires, etc. With the new face printing tech and double jointed arms, they're noteworthy enough improvements that I don't mind. If I like it, I'll buy it. If not, I'm happy to pass on it.
At this stage in the line, it's not like a repaint or re-release is taking a slot away from some FTIL figure or anything. Mattel is working from the roster they have. But for as much as I grumble about releasing the same characters over and over, they keep putting out new attires and figures that are top notch improvements from what they did years ago.

This is my most wanted rick the model figure. It must come with the over the shoulders sweater and I would love slick to come out around the same time.  I would love the rerelease of the arrogance model look with jacket. Chase could be pink with a teal/pink pattern bow tie. I also want strike force rick and strike force tito both with white jackets and headbands and tag titles. |

Not sure if they could do a model figure with a chase, he had different hair styles for each version (blue trunks was more puffed out like the picture above, purple trunks was longer hair slicked back with a ponytail, and the pink trunks was with short hair slicked back). Basically we need more Rick Martel's. I also hope we get this one day:  |

I only really need like two heel models and a strike force. Tennis player rick martel would be a fun figure but not necessary.. He seemed like he was always pictured playing tennis in his photo shoots or interviews. |
