I only really post now a days to moan and that’s extremely rare as I’m normally a happy collector or let things slide. (Kane issue and no help for UK and this issue been the only ones in last 6months)
But I really really want Mattel to sort this for future figures. Yokozuna, Umaga, The Wild Samoans are all around 2 cm too big. It’s a huge mistake in size and no matter what billed heights you put on the back of the box can justify it.
I noticed this with the 1st Yokozuna made and I believed it to be because there using the Kamala calve to foot piece…and he was called the Ugandan Giant for a reason being around 6’7
I’ve done a lot of research and watched a lot of matches and Yokozuna is similar to Brett Hart in height and smaller than Lex Luger. Umaga is also around the same height as Rick Flair.
They look daft next to other figures and are crouching on Undertaker and Kane which is silly.
Please MDT fix this for future figures so we can have atleast a Yokozuna and Umaga the right height. Please. Maybe it’s just the lower legs that need a new mold (Umagas legs do seem really long)
I know it may not be important to some but it is to me and many other collectors I bet. I’d like to hear others thoughts and if you can get MDT eyes on the issue please do.
(Also Royal Rumble Eathquake too tall due to boots….don’t use those boots again….)
Hopefully the wild Samoans don’t follow the same fate…

I think it's not too much to ask. It's Mattel's job to do it right.
Accuracy matters. This, Hot Wheels and Barbie seem to be the bread and butter for Mattel. Treat it as such imo.

Exactly thanks for the reply.
Tbh I expected some more collectors to jump on board and make the issue known to MDT. Maybe they haven’t noticed or it doesn’t bother them…idk I don’t use social media so I couldn’t but it’s a issue that I’d really like sorting.
Please if you can get MDT attention and bring it up with them It would make future Yokos, Umagas, Headshrinkers, etc the right scale.
Just imagine getting the Headshrinkers 1st time in the line 2 cm out of scale with the other figures.
I first started collecting with the Road Warriors and Kamala Legends series 2. I was actually looking for Road Warriors new DVD on Amazon when I saw them. I thought I’d just get the 3 as they looked amazing and are wrestlers from my childhood. Was blown away that the figures scaled as the wrestlers did and the incredible detail. (All 3 still hold up today) Ended up collecting nearly all Elites, Legends, PPv series and a lot of customs charges as I’m in the UK. I can’t count those out of scale to this degree as complete in the collection and it’s a shame as everything else with those mentioned is pretty much perfect.

I do wish the Yoko and Umaga figures were scaled correctly.

Pretty sure Mattel doesn't or will ever give a damn about making everyone in the line scale perfectly. Jesus, almost every figure they've ever made is wrong. No human body looks like that. I made a custom they other day of Perry Saturn. You know whose legs I had to use to make him look best? Hulk Hogan. If they really want to be accurate, thick thighs would be the norm. But like I said, they don't care. We get the scultped thin legs. I mean ... come on, look at any Orton figure. Jesus. Just go with it, man. Or, like me, fix it yourself if you can.

I can’t fix them myself I’m afraid.
I agree that some of the legs just don’t seem thick enough but the scale is still mostly there on average.
2cm is way too much though….

I hope the Wild Samoans aren’t using the calf mould that makes them too tall….this could be a repeat of the ones mentioned above.
It would ruin great looking figures imo. When they are so out of scale it ruins the whole figure for me.

Are they making another Wild Samoans set? They did the Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) for the Target HOF(?) 2-Packs a few years back. What was shown yesterday are the Samoan SWAT Team/Headshrinkers. (Fatu & Samu) Unless there was more I didn’t see.
But yes they Yoko & Wild Samoans figures are too tall. A member here named Apocalypse fixed them by trimming the thighs down at the thigh cut. And they looked perfect.

It looks like the SST are made with the Duggan torso and smaller legs like Riddle so the height should be fine on them. I doubt we ever see another wild Samoan set again.

Scaling matters a lot to me. I like mixing my figures, and the fact that Mezco One:12 is six-inch and Mattel WWE is seven-inch breaks my heart lol. But that's understandable. It isn't forgivable for figs in the same toy line to be inaccurate. This is what kept me from building a Jakks collection but got me into Mattel.
I think part selection as a whole is my most significant gripe (followed by hair color: Sid, etc.). Skinny legs (Goldberg), skinny torsos (Undertaker, Sid) too tall figures (like the newest red-trunks Mr. Wonderful), keep me from adding those to my collection.

I’m sorry. I meant the Samoan Swat Team/Headshrinkers
I really need to find a customiser in the UK who can fix issues like this lol. Would love a custom Chris B also.
