All I did was say I wish we would get more of a heads up and then people dogpiled on that and pulled out the torches and pitchforks. Butterfly joints killed Ultimates for me. Never liked any toys that had them. They are way too ugly.
If I find it at retail I'd get it. Would probably convert it to an elite though.

Batista is tough because his Elites aren’t cheap enough to use for fodder, but I might grab an extra RA once they hit to fix up the Target exclusive. |

Yeah when Ultimates started I only wanted Bret, Savage and Flair. I picked up UE4 HBK and immediately converted it to an elite. I'll leave the other 3 as is but for me, Ultimates are just a very expensive way to get really good attires, accessories and extra heads. |

Those male torsos are so ugly, the only one that looks good is Brock Lesnar I think it's possible to make the torso look like the version 2 torsos without the butterfly joints. The problem with the version 1 torsos was the unnatural break between the chest and the abs, not the shoulders. I hate the new butterfly joints. You can't put the figures arms down to their sides with the way Mattel designed them. The only one that looks good in my opinion is the Kane torso. |

All of who are mostly covered with jackets and robes. The older Ultimate torsos weren't great. But as I mentioned before, I have never liked the look of butterfly joints on any toy. Almost like a general pet peeve. |

I remember seeing many on here voting for the other fan takeover options and complaining about potentially another red HBK, but this was the clear choice for me and seems like most agree.

I think a red HBK was a good option, I personally didn't want another Black attire (King of the ring 96) because that's all Mattel puts out. My only problem with the red attire is the hair style he had at Survivor Series 95. |

This really has to be one of the best wrestling figures ever made. I feel ya, but I would also pump the breaks if I were you too. That torso, as others have mentioned, looks a little iffy with the cuts made for the butterfly joints. Those sorta cuts look fine on a costumed character but when you're looking at what's supposed to be flesh, they stand out as pretty weird looking. Also it looks like they just painted white over his boots from the original UE release, and white over black will look rough if they don't toss enough paint on there. Still super excited for this thing though. Glad you are too. |
