Not much better in the US. I live in a metro area, check a few different Targets or Wal-Marts, and I hardly ever see any Elites, outside of the 'best of 2021' series.
Legends, AEW, and basics are a little easier to come by, but I've basically given up finding / collecting Elites in the wild.

Both either overstock or don’t stock enough. Nearest Target is one and a half hour away, and when I do get the chance to go I normally never find anything there either except for something I don’t want/need or something I already got from RSC weeks or months prior. I have to rely on RSC and pre-ordering store exclusives otherwise I’d probably have to pay scalper prices for things. There are so many distribution issues and it’s really ridiculous.

Picked up royal rumble yoko in entertainer (Birmingham) and it’s cheaper than smyths which is unusual £20 entertainer v £25 smyths - only had Dakota in otherwise I’d have got earthquake too

I have started buying stuff from rsc recently, especially aew figures that are taking ages to be available over here. And also buying us packaging we figures fromk rsc too as all in its chaper than people selling such on bay of e, and you can get gauranteed decent condition of box from rsc in general.I keep saying I will be stopping buying new figures soon, but theres alwyas upcoming stuff that pulls me back in. I have had to downsize and sell stuff to make room for others, I have no need for multiple figures of many people, just imo the defintive best likeness figures. There are many online based UK sellers that can get in all the figures now, so they are available, maybe at a slightly higher price than if you walked into a US store (if the fifgures are in stock there), which is annoying. But if the whole min order qty from mattel is too high for the chains like smyths and such (if they are allowed to order in) to justify as theer is no way they will sell them all at full price to make it worth their while.. we are truely stuck.

I wouldn’t say it’s the dark days.
It most certainly is becoming harder to pick up figures here in the UK at reasonable prices. But over the years I’ve seen this trend happen many times. I think we are heading for a crunch time here in the UK, people are being put off by the lack of choice and huge price tags and stopping.
I on the other hand couldn’t do such a thing. In a kind of strange way, I love it a little more. As the hunt gets harder I seem to appreciate every figure I can add to my collection just a little bit more. From Hasbro, Jakks and now mattel - we just need to hang in there and hopefully it will get better.

I will believe this when I am standing in one of them! This has been rumoured for a few years now and nothing so far has come from it.

Finger's crossed... I really hope they sort out their prices to be more in-line with other toy stores though (if they return)... it was getting ridiculous: £27.99 for new Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends? This was (obviously) 3-4 years ago too... I dread to think what they'd be charging now.

Importing legends is literally a nightmare, you basically HAVE to buy entire waves to make the shipping/import work out.
