I'll go 91 mainly for the hidden gem that is LOD vs Harts with the latter playing the heels for the match Plus you had the Madness as the host!

Toss up for me, but I'll go with 1991 since Macho was the host. I really liked that the 1990 tape had a lot of Hart Foundation matches. I just want to throw this out there; we really need the WWF to release the old WrestleFest arcade game. A lot of the old arcade games (NBA Jam, the Simpsons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) have been remade in the classic style and this would be great. Most of the guys on the consol are in good standing with the company and are signed so that shouldn't be a problem. They may not be able to do the Legion of Doom or Demolition, but they have both the Hart Foundation guys signed and they can maybe add the Rockers - if they sign Jannetty. If not them, they could do the Rhythm and Blues, Honky and Hammer. Instead of doing tag teams, they could also add two top individual stars at the time; Macho King and Undertaker come to mind. To make this sell even better, they could add the WWF WrestleMania arcade game and WWF In Your House Arcade game to the consol. Again, changing the characters for who isn't signed (Owen Hart seems to be the only impossible character they won't be able to sign). Or this could be a great reason to resign some people.

1988 - my fav of all time. went to that show live. its one of the best non ppv's ever IMO Attachment Deleted1990 - LOVED harts vs powers of pain & piper vs macho king. warrior/jake team up & warrior body slamming akeem was cool to see 1991 - LOVED harts vs lod & rockers vs P&G was fun too 1992 - didnt care for this one much 1993 - nothing to great but bret vs kamala & taker vs berzerker were cool matches for the time 1994 - LOVED hart bros vs steiner bros and was so excited to see mr perfect vs yoko, but bummed perfect lost 1995 - this one kinda sucked but the 6 man tag was fun (owen, yoko, hakushi vs bret, razor, savio) 1996 - another boring one, but taker vs goldust & yoko vs vader were decent 1997 - didnt care for this one either

1988 is the only one I saw. It was a pay per view quality just as much as anything else at the time. It probably paved way for WWF to do a Summerslam. I got that tape so many times when I was a kid, it's a shame the cut matches weren't shown but the ones that were could have been done as Summerslam and still worked given the talent.

Great show and 80s summer feel to it being outside and sad it didn't become a yearly thing. At least the cut matches made it on to tv thanks to primetime wrestling and the savage dibiase match was used on a savage tape release too. Shame they weren't on the main tape tho as would have made it feel even more special.

Wrestlefest 94 and 95 were my favourites!
Steiners vs. Harts, Diesel vs. Bret, 123 Kid/Jannetty vs. Headshrinkers for the Tag Titles, just a fun tape!
Wrestlefest 95 and you get some sweet gems like Razor vs. Jarrett with Roadie in a cage above the ring, Allied Powers vs. Jarrett/Roadie too. Just fun stuff.
Wrestlefest 90 had a sweet Piper vs. Savage match, and Wrestlfest 91 you get LOD vs. Hart Foundation
But I prefer the 94 and 95 ones the most!

That line up sheet is a treasure. I've never seen that before and am shocked that Jerry Allen made it to a card like that. Even more surprising is that means Scott Casey was a replacement on the card much like Survivor Series. Poor Scott. This show and Big Event always fascinated me because the camera men didn't do close ups of the entrance way except for the very end when I think they showed Hulk going down into the dugout. It's a shame the show didn't get a big crowd like Big Event given it was Hulk and Andre in a cage but I know the Orndorff feud was so hot at the time and Hulk and Andre had played out by now. Another thing I never knew until years later is the commentators weren't actually at the show. You can see them being superimposed, if that's the right word, over the background of the show. There's so much about this show I remember, I also knew this was the beginning of the end for the Killer Bees.
