I hate to bump a year old thread but...am I the only collector on here now thats into these? I think theyre amazing figures, I currently own 18 of them and the in stock sale on storehorsemen.com is coming any day now, as well as the new wave preorders hitting friday. Surely some of you guys are also into these? Id love to hear any feedback and opinions on this line from you guys

PJ thanks for doing this! Didn't see a thread dedicated to one of the best independent toy design companies out there ( Four Horsemen Studios). This line started in 2015 and I've been watching it closely for a year or so, always tempted to jump in but seeing how expensive the aftermarket is kept me at bay. Well I finally decided to go for gold and am trading off my MOTUC and MOTU Origins collections, even some Super7 Thundercats to get these bad boys and my god they do NOT disappoint in sculpt, paint, and pretty decent articulation! Just wondering if any other WF collectors are into this line too? Here's some pics of my small collection: I didn't think I'd fall in love with these 12" gigantic trolls, but here I am - Ice troll is on the way  Who doesn't love skeletons?  Apparently their Colosseum wave was a hit back in the day and I was lucky to pick up this guy Calavius - who is also in the voting for All Stars 5  Illythia's Brood (vampire wave) is scheduled to be out in Q2, and I'm hearing closer to June - so I had to get the Queen herself, Lucrieta in prep:  Storehorsemen is having an in-stock sale on Mar-19 @ 11am for All Stars 4 - Sir Owain - don't sleep on this guy if you love knights!  speaking of knights, I got a little crazy but I LOVE Templars  yup heavily modified superstar billy graham, but there's so many 3rd party artists out there that make better custom heads for these characters!

Great timing. I just got into the Legions stuff myself. My roommate was asking what I knew about them, so I told him that I'd always admired the line from a safe distance, but he got a few and then I got itchy haha. He got the troll and then hit that army builder sale HARD. I also put in a good order when they had their builder sale a month or two back. Built up a few cool dioramas to display them, too. Three Goblins Two Templars Two Barbarians One Orc One Black Knight     Had to get one of those jewelry/bead sorting divider cases to keep track of all this stuff, haha.  Got in on the last sale too, picked up two Owains, two of the bronze looking knights, and three of the green Skeletons. This is the exact reason I avoided this line for so long, because I KNOW it's gonna be costly haha. |

Alright Captain McKay Seen your BTS vids and the Barbarian builder, can't wait til you animate these guys and bring them to life! lol Yup it's the Crashbox dios, and I know they are insanely costly but the quality is undeniable and the fact that all the pieces are uniformed and go together, it's like you're building a real castle wall by wall, 'cept I don't have that kind of cheddar so I'll fudge my two walls in as many ways as I can to make it look expansive. It's also great to know that Kris is a real customer-friendly kinda guy! Anyway I know my talent isn't building dios like you and Crashbox so I'll pay for that service! Here's my latest: "Infiltrated"  |

I’ve always liked how he makes them totally modular so you can have one or a bunch and they’ll look just as good. I’ve really been liking the Legions stuff since getting to mess with it. I find myself constantly just playing around with them, switching horns around on Barbarian helmets or swapping weapons out on Goblins, just little things to occupy my time and allow me to appreciate some great figures. I can’t wait to see what they’ve got coming down the road (means I’ll have to build more diorama pieces haha). |
