So for some reason, I'm taking this wrestling death kind of hard, more then any others as of late, and I guess I felt if I wrote my feelings on Scott hall it would help me cope with it...so here it goes.
Scott Hall. Razor Ramon. The Bad Guy. I'm 38 years old so I grew up watching wrestling in this man's hey day. he's probably in my top 5 of favorite wrestlers all time. The coolness that this Guy showed Was Untouched By Any Other Superstar Before Or After Him. The swag walk, the cool accent, the gold chains, the toothpick, just bad ass. I Had A Chance To Meet Scott Along With Kevin Nash At A Maryland Championship Wrestling Event A Few Years Ago and got my picture with them And Both We're A Class Act. I had purchased one autograph from each of them and I picked out a razor ramon photo for Hall to sign, just because I was a wwf guy more so than wcw growing up. I asked if he would sign it with both Scott Hall and Razor Ramon. Hall said " tell ya what, I will sign Razor on the photo you picked and you can have this." And he picked out a Scott Hall photo and signed that one Scott Hall. Didn't charge me or ask for more money. Then when he was done, he too sweet me.
This Man Went Through So Much In His Life But Still Had The Will Power and determination To Admit His Demons And Get Them Straightened Out. That Takes Guts. Sure He Had Issues During His Recovery But Nobody's Perfect. But in the end I would say that Scott hall put the demons aside and lived the best life he could.
Hall Is Perhaps One Of The Greatest To Never Win A World Title, But That Just Shows Just How Good He Was At His Craft. He Was At The Top Without That World Belt. Wrestling wouldn't be what it is today if scott hall didn't jump ship to wcw in 96. The Monday night wars may have never happened and that wouldn't have given vince mcmahon the reason to start the attitude era, in which there wouldn't be a stone cold, the rock or a dx. There wouldn't have been an nwo, or perhaps hogan may have never turned heel and his career may have fizzled out alot sooner. All of this happened because of one man...Scott hall.
This truly was the last call for Scott hall. I just hope that when he crossed over to the other side he did peacefully and pain free, as he did the surfer walk slowly through the pearly gates, walked up to God, paused, and said "......Hey Yo." handed him his gold chains and said "if something happens to these, something gonna happen to you."
Thank you Scott hall for many memories of my childhood. Rest easy.
Say goodbye to da bad guy.
