Earthquake showed up on WWF TV at the end of 1989 and had a very solid run in the company for a few years.
Nothing crazy there, but I recently discovered that he was born in 1963 so Earthquake was only 26 years old when he debuted. That absolutely blew my mind as he always appeared WAY older. Hard to believe that pretty much his entire run as Earthquake happened before he was even 30.

Men just looked older than what they did back in that era of the times.
Not sure why, must have been the style of living they did back then.

I was extremely surprised to learn this too - I always thought (and still think) he looked older than Typhoon, despite being 6 years younger...

He was a guy that always looked 40 lol. He was such a great heel that first year, year and a half he was in the WWF. I was not even a huge Hogan fan, but him crushing Hulk was really shocking to see. I loved their match and program for SummerSlam 90 and the ending to the 1991 Royal Rumble was a lot of fun too. I thin that the Natural Disasters were a damn fine team and they held the tag titles a great deal in my Hasbro figure fed when I was a kid. However, when they tried to turn them face there was just no way I could get behind them, these guys were always meant to be heels in my eyes!

I think it's the hair or lack thereof.

Yeah I wish they had a longer run as heels.I'm glad they got a run with the belts though. Always was a fan. Loved the squash matches they had.

I think it's the hair or lack thereof. That skullet definitely did him no favors.

I remember reading that and being shocked at the time, because he just looked so much older than he was. The hair did him no favours, but it's cool to think he was so young and was on the best run arguably of his career. I was always a big fan even though he was before my time, but I had some old school VHS's and was always in awe I guess of how good he was for being such a big guy. His Classic Superstars figure was one of my favourites to play with as a kid, it brings back fond memories to own it today since I had so much fun with it.

Bossman and Akeem who would have only been like 25/26 or 27 during their feuds with Hogan seemed to be in their late 30s, early 40s. Bam Bam and Bundy also seemed late 30s when they first debuted in WWF. The guys from the 70s looked even older. A 35 year old Billy Graham looked to be 50 then! Maybe it was the bleach blonde hair with guys like him, Dusty and Flair. My 55 year old grandfather in 1990 thought Flair was in his 70s then.
What is most shocking is seeing a Seinfeld episode that has a Kramer seizure skit with Mary Hart, which led me to her wikipedia, cites her date of birth as 1950. So she was only 36 or 37 at Wrestlemania III? NO WAY! She looked to be in her 50s to me as a kid. Even to me as an adult now. I would have said she was born in 1937 at the latest.
And Gorilla is another guy who didn't just look old, he acted old and I would have thought him for 70 in the mid to late 90s. No way was he like 12 years older than Jesse then.
