I’m a lone wolf also ….before my first wife passed away we would go out hunting figures together in the early 2000s…..she would buy ones she wanted & add them to the collection…. but these days no, I’m the only one in the house with an interest in wrestling at all

I don't have friends that collects but my nephew has a huge collection of about everything I'm into. It does make the hobby a lot more fun for me and its great because he keeps a closer eye on stuff then I do. I don't know how many pieces in my collection I wouldn't have or paid a lot for if it wasn't for him.

Yeah, the only other person I know who likes wrestling also collects. He's got an amazing Japanese collection, with an almost complete separate Liger collection. He's less interested in a lot of the WWE/AEW stuff nowadays, I think.

Only one and she's exclusively Comics and Funko. Her big passion is Wonder Woman but she also collects MCU stuff too.
We get into (usually friendly) arguments about figures though because she is all about the "Cutesy" stuff. She wants the POPS and chibis and anime eyes and stuff like that. She has no use for anything that's realistically proportioned or has lifelike detail. Meanwhile, I am the exact opposite, the more lifelike the better, and yeah. We do not see eye to eye on collectables at all.

OH! I think this would be the place to share this.
(I don't recall sharing it on here before. If I have, my memory is crap, I'm sharing it again.)
I was ordering a bunch of delivery food there for awhile. At one point, one of the drivers, upon me opening the door, saw my collection of wrestling figures and about lost it. He immediately needed to know if I had Sting. I pulled the AEW Luminaries Sting off the shelf to show him. He got so excited and then proceeded to spend the next several minutes just chatting with me on my porch about wrestling. He told me that he doesn't have any friends who watch wrestling and that "You're a GIRL and you have a whole COLLECTION!"
I guess he decided talking to me was more important than running for the next Doordash order. I eventually ended the convo because dinner was getting cold. Still, kind of neat.
I almost wish I had asked for his number.

No, I stopped collecting back in 2000 when I was 16 because all my friends made jokes about collecting figures. Now I´m grown-ass men with 2 kids and I collect again. But no one knows beside my family.

No. I have two friends that collects hot wheels. If I see a new or cool one I grab it for them because they’re $1. They’ve grabbed me a couple impulse buys, but know I’m a psycho and have everything mostly…

My theory for myself is that everyone who I'm friends with right now, I've known since I was a kid, so they all grew out of toys and I did not. Since I stopped trying to make new friends at some point, I'm basically the only person I know in real life who collects toys.

Zero. My brother's and two of my close friends will hunt for me when they go to stores, but I do not have anyone I can talk about the hobby with. That's where all you bros on the board come in!

None in real life.
I have 4 friends I still keep in touch with I've met through here or outlaw boards.
One of these friends passed away in 2018.
I have a friend who I met through our shared love of Jakks BCAs back in elementary school, but he fell out of it by high school. My older brother is a huge fan too, but he doesn't collect figures as much as DVDs and more general memorobilia

A buddy owns a toy store. (Not a theman joke)
He keeps what he likes so he has a nice WWE collection. Outside that I occasionally pick up figures for my nephews as they are into WWE.
