In '97 and '98, most of my main childhood friends did. My friend in 3rd or 4th grade one time brought in the back carding for the first BCA Tag Team 2-packs to class, which is how I learned they made LOD and the Headbangers. I spent all that day in school looking at the prototypes on the back haha. I loved those two teams, and I eventually got the whole set with them and The Godwinns and The New Blackjacks. He also found Series 2 Ultimate Warrior, which I was so insanely jealous of.
After about '00 it was only me and my cousin who still played. I'd bring over my Monster ring to his house, he'd show me the WCW Nitro arena playset. Then I'd get the Smackdown Real Sound Arena, and he'd show me the Metal Vengeance Arena he had laid out in his closet. We kept getting different things, so it was cool to share our collections with each other when we'd have sleepovers and all that stuff. The last time I remember us doing this was when the first Elimination Chamber set came out. He saw mine, we went to TRU, he got his, and he had these double EC matches together. That was around the last time I remember playing with my figures. I got a girlfriend, he moved away, and I was getting older, so it just naturally sort of became a display thing. I've lost contact with everyone from that time period of my life, but I am for sure the last one standing with this thing. It'd be cool to have friends IRL to share the hobby with, but most of my old friends are either gone or people who did the whole "start a family" thing instead of buying like 8 different versions of Bret Hart.

Unfortunately, I'm all alone on this journey.

I have a couple friends who collect things, not necessarily wrestling figs, but more so Transformers and vintage 80's Joes. One of which may very well have the largest of both those things in the western United States. No joke, he has several bays, yes bays, worth of stuff.
