Worked for a big box corp and mom n pop shop for years. I also helped a friends dad conduct "inventory" at a battery store. This type of inventory discrepancy was adjusted and never counted as loss (theft). The programs used flagged things such as this and recognized that an employee or self-check customer may have seen 2 similar boxes and scanned one twice instead of each individual sku. It happened all the time. 🤷♂️ How often do you think people go to Target or Walmart, buy cases of soda for 3/$13 or whatever the deal may be, and just scan their case of Coke 3 times instead of scanning their Coke, Sprite, and Fanta individually? Pretty often I’m sure. I said the same thing in the other post that got locked for some reason lol but yeah my thoughts exactly |

Bought 2 bags of sand at Lowes this morning. Clerk scanned 1 bag twice. brb gonna go turn myself into the police It's almost like you bought the exact same bag or something. Undertaker and Batista aren't the same thing. Let me put it this way so you can understand. If you paid 30 bucks for the new Undertaker RSC exclusive, but they sent you something you didn't pay for instead, you'd be upset right? Or would you be completely fine with that? If you say you would complain you're a hypocrite. |

I don’t mean employees, just customers going to self checkout and whatnot. It's still against the rules, but I doubt the self checkout host is going to care. When I worked at Walmart we were told to not let the customers do what you're saying. |

It’s insane how jealous some are that some people got this fig and they didn’t. Just pay the scalpers like I am going to have to. I hate them but I havent found a store exclusive in 4 years.
It’s funny how the same angry people want to absolve Target in all this. Target put it on the shelf. Target inputted the street date incorrectly in their systems. People are paying $30 for an ultimate figure. If Target didn’t screw up, people wouldn’t have to do this. Is it 1000% legal? This is like driving 67 mph when the speed limit is 65. Target and Walmart don’t seem to mind sending me smashed figures in bubble mailers (WM) or putting giant stickers over them (Target)

I can’t believe that I lived to the day that people are actually demanding a Batista figure. Anyways, so this guy scanned something else in place for his figure. That’s his problem. In regards to retail, I worked at a major corporation where they literally had losses marked every day. Plenty of people would get away with stealing and would just run out the door. What they would do is wait for the thief to come back another day. I also heard, but don’t know if it’s true, that they would only get arrested if it was over a certain amount.
