Got the email today before I even tried to reach out. Both orders were combined so Magnum, Brody, Kerry & Hansen are all coming together.

I was tempted to get Hansen & Kerry but bc we had no idea of quality we were getting+ cost, I stuck with 2. Looking forward to see what everyone thinks of Kerry when he arrives.

I had the same worries too so my initial order was just Brody and Hansen. I just happened to have some extra cash when preorders reopened so I took a gamble and ordered Kerry & Magnum. When the news of the legs breaking came out I was crushed because that’s $200 down the drain. Thankfully they were done over and everyone seems to be fairly positive on them.

destinoYeah! Glad they worked out the issues. Regret not getting a tag team partner for Brody. Kerry &/or Hansen would do. Oh well! Bring on wave 2 lol

I have a feeling there’s gonna be leftover stock. My guess is that they’ll list series 1 for sale after the preorders have been fulfilled. Probably the defective first batch at a discounted price too.

So we really should be getting news on Series 2 soon. In the recent podcast that Steve Rosenthal participated it, he talked about Series 2 being in hand before the end of this year. If that is the goal, then preorders are soon.
So ideally they may be getting these all ready, and may just announce a "hey here is the lineup, preorders go up next week" type of thing. I would be fine with that.
Current guesses on the lineup:
Medusa - Confirmed Gorgeous George - Supposedly previously confirmed Ricky Morton Robert Gibson Wahoo McDaniel Ivan Koloff Nikita Koloff
This puts it at 7 figures, so not sure if they will stay with 6 or what. The recent Medusa confirmation changes things a bit, as all along they talked about this wave being 'tag team' focused. So if we do 2 teams, then Madusa (already confirmed) that leaves one more slot, and they seem to want a 50s 60s figure there - so that would be Gorgeous George, and rule out Wahoo. Or, they may simply keep Wahoo, and only have one Koloff, and use the other Koloff in Series 3.
I personally would like that second option, releasing some tag teams separate and some tag teams together. Rock & Roll Express is known primarily as a tag team. Ricky Morton had a bit of a feud with Flair back in the day along with a stint as Richard Morton in the later 80s, but for the most part, he is known as a tag team specialist with Robert Gibson. So those two should be in a series together. But Ivan and Nikita Koloff, while being a tag team, both had pretty substantial individual success. So those two could be released separately. Kind of like Kerry, David, and Kevin Von Erich, as they (hopefully) will be released in future waves to go along with Series 1 Kerry.

azraelms great thoughts. I like rock n roll being offered as a tag team 2 pack. I could see the Russians as a 2 pack or individually as well. I think David Von Erich is overdue for a figure and a great way to re release Kerry for those coming into the game late is pairing him with one of his brothers in a different color attire. Are people going to be underwhelmed when someone doesn’t come with a belt? Surely you can’t give everyone a belt lol

Anyone else wondering what they will do for wrestlers who only exist black and white photos/footage? Do we know color of Gorgeous George's robes?

I simply meant that maybe some tags have both members in the same wave (Rock N Roll Express), while others could get away with having them separated (Nikita Koloff in one wave, Ivan Koloff in the next wave). The basis for those decisions would be based on the tag team and their individual successes. A good example would be the Rockers. Assuming WWE/Mattel had both Shawn and Marty under contract, they could probably make Shawn in different costumes in every Elite wave they do. However, if they were to do a Marty Jannetty in a wave, they would want Shawn in the same outfit in the same wave. Shawn would sell well on his own, Marty, not so much.

I’m sick of waiting on the announcement for the all Rougeau series 2! My shelf’s are collecting dust waiting for them. I have over 200 spots reserved for Rougeaus A-M and another 175 for the N-Z Rougeaus!

OK, enlighten me as to what was so amusing about my comment. There could have been drawing or descritpions of the robe in various articles. The robes are for sure part of someone collection. We know the colours of almost everything that lived/existed before the color pictures (we even have some clues regarding dinosaur).

I'm glad that's the case and I hope PowerTown is able to access said things. Someone could've said that to begin with instead of being passive aggressive.

I can’t confirm what his comment meant originally but he is known to stir things elsewhere so just ignore him.
Often times when colorizing things you can get a sense for what a color was based on the shade of gray. Some programs have pretty solid algorithms but they obviously aren’t always correct. Different lighting and odd shadowing can make that even more difficult.
All that said, I would love to see some limited edition variants done in a black and white style.

Have received a tracking number for shipping now. I'm in Australia, be interested to see if its my full sets or if KVE is still waiting and they'll ship him later.

Here is a variation on "who do you want Powertown to make next."
Do you prefer the way they organized the first series (one each from the 50s and 60's, then 4 from the 70s and primarily the 80s) or would you prefer another way to organize these? Would you prefer a series of all AWA figures, then a series of all WCCW figures, then FCW, figures, and so on like that? Would you prefer a wave of 6 figures being all tag teams? Do you prefer a pattern at all or would you rather be suprised by each series?

Some are completists, some are era/genre, some are character specific. A mixed wave is essentially selling to all
