The belts they have come out with are stunning and the best mass-produced ones that I know of. That said, none of them hold any nostalgic value for me. I have yet to buy a PT figure as none of them are within my collecting “rules.” Those collecting rules are basically all Mattel Retros, my favorite characters from the independent retro makers, 7” figures of modern talent I have a special in person memory of, and then 7” figures of guys who were in my favorite wrestling video games. The NWA belt would be the first one released that might change my mind BUT it is different than the iconic 70’s and 80’s design. the new NWA belt is close enough to be dangerous for many of my figs. Flair and Christian Cage are two from different generations that sorely need them to be complete. I couldn’t blame most people for getting it. The differences are sooo minor. The ones that most people notice are the cut of the strap as well as the Australian flag being swapped with the Union Jack.

Series 1 has arrived. I'm in Western Australia, so after these things took a big detour through China, they finally arrived.
First impressions are these are a fantastic effort for a series 1 of a figure line. Biggest pros: - likenesses are great - skintone works really well, has that translucent quality that NECA did with their Rocky figures - the championship belts are amazing, well worth the price of admission to get a championship with every figure - sturdiness is top shelf, these feel hefty and solid - modular - as I put the wrong knee pad on KVE at first I lamented having to take it off over the boot... but then I discovered the boots come off nicely, which makes it super easy to put the knee pads on and off - great job Powertown
What I see as the cons: - the stance - these are design to have a wide stance and really gives them all a bow legged look if you bring that stance in - thick rubber jackets/robes - Mattel have done this and it's never been popular, limits posing and very difficult to remove - articulation - these would have benefited so much from double knees/elbows. KVE can't do his Iron Claw pose, BB can't do his Huss pose. It's a big limitation. - hands - no left hand options at all? This really surprised me, even if they mixed it up a bit so we could swap from one figure to another, but nup. There are right hand options, but lefts are sorely lacking. - hand pegs - I'll separate this from articulation although it's the same point - the hand pegs are limited in moving one direction, limits posing. They also feel like they pop off a bit too easily. - chunkiness - I think some of the boys benefit from this, but some of them feel a bit too chunky. Magnum TA and KVE especially feel like they could be a bit leaner, TA especially.
I'm actually surprised that my favourite in the line is Lou Thesz. I think they've captured the look of a 1950s grappler amazingly well with their design (in fact, referencing him to pictures, he actually could have benefited from being a bit chunkier!). But sans rob, with the towel around his neck, he just looks fantastic!
I look forward to seeing some more legends being made from this era and subsequent. I think this is where Powertown will excel.

I am wondering if these will be announced right after SDCC. Thursday is Mattel's big panel, Saturday Jazwares has a thing, and AEW is at least part of it, so I would not be surprised if they announced the second series that next week, after the Mattel/Jazwares excitement dies down.

I can live without double jointed elbows and butterfly joints, but the wrists need to be reevaluated. I know I mentioned this already in this thread, but it was the biggest con for me.

For now I don't think they'd double up names in both lines.
They might be rethinking their plan a bit, if they've got some more recent names to anchor the lines.

I agree, however they did already announce Magnum 2 pack with Tully for the remco line after releasing his ultra. I’d love a Tully ultra so I’d be okay If they double up with him too.

I'm super pleased with how these turned out. Like I said, I bought all of them. I have to say that I hope that Series 2 won't be repeats of any of the already done by Mattel wrestlers. I'm pretty amazed with the Magnum TA and KVE figs but I have them from Mattel and they're pretty decent although getting a World Class belt with KVE made it pretty worth it for me. The only repeat from Mattel that I wouldn't mind would probably be the canceled Dibiase figure simply because I'd love to have a matching attire Dibiase with Stan Hansen. I wanted that figure from day one. I'm hoping to see Abdullah the Butcher, Buddy Rogers, The Sheik, Karl Gotch, Rikidozan, Dory Funk, Jr., The Patriot Del Wilkes or Gentleman Chris Adams pop up among the waves.

I am not getting these, but have they announced the price of this 2-pack? It also looks like the old Series 1 figures are completely gone from their website.

They do have those first defective figures that I would expect to be sold at some point.
