Will remain to be seen. They do have those first defective figures that I would expect to be sold at some point. What was the defect with those figures? I remember people talking about them on social media, but I didn't pay attention to any of it. This was the moment that changed everything:

The legs snapped off when moved That's a pretty big defect. That said, the defected figures were never released. Only got to the hands of a select few influencers like the major pod squad. (Perhaps only them). No legs are breaking with the figures people are receiving now. People saying that’s why they didn’t get them are full of it because pretty sure that happened after preorders ended.

Wowsers. Good on Powertown for correcting the issue though.

Any word on series 2? Do we have an official lineup? Rumors or innuendo?
The Cardona and Myers figures are looking pretty good

I'm so fascinated by the leg issue. Did they ever explain how they fixed it so quickly and effectively?

Kind of sucks Series 1 didn't have alternate heads. Hansen could really have used another expression.

I'm so fascinated by the leg issue. Did they ever explain how they fixed it so quickly and effectively? Kind of. Shortly after the Major Pod live show where they announced the Matt & Brian figures is when the legs started snapping. Steve from Powertown came on their podcast and basically said that the issue was the bar where the legs plugged into. I don't recall the full detail but I believe he said they changed the type of plastic used for that joint. When this info came up though wave one was basically ready to go on the water so they had to do the entire run of figures all over again with the corrected hips. A part of me thinks we'll never see the original batch go on sale. This is just pure speculation on my part but I think these will most likely quietly end up in the hands of the major collectors online. The same people who somehow had connections to get Chief Jay Strongbow and the cancelled RVD. Wave 1 was first available at some indy show before they were getting shipped to the folks who ordered, so I wouldn't be surprised if thats one way the "broken" figures make their way into people's hands. I also wouldn't be shocked to learn that Magnum, Hansen and Greg Gagne have some cases of the "broken" figures that they can sell at meet and greats or something.

Kind of sucks Series 1 didn't have alternate heads. Hansen could really have used another expression. The heads don't pop off, and I don't see them adding multiple heads in the box. The vibe I got anytime I heard Steve Rosenthal is that he's trying to have a clean aesthetic to the presentation to these figures. But I'm with you. Hansen and Brody are to stoic in their expressions. I wouldn't be mad if they rereleased them with new heads in like a "bloody variant". The way series 1 of the Remco style figures was talked about it sounds like Magnum vs Tully might be a bloody two pack, so there's no reason to not do bloody figure in the Ultra scale.

The Cardona/Myers two-pack has multiple heads and they’re displayed in the box. I doubt that’ll be a one-off execution. We’ll have to see if they switch to that direction with series 2.

Slightly mixed on this one. My initial reaction is “holy smokes, what all is in that box!?” then my OCD kicks in and I feel as though improvements can be made. The background is very plain. The placement of the hands could be better (maybe more emphasis on the belts?). Having something above Brian’s head creates negative space above Matt which throws off the symmetry. I’m not a designer so there could be good reasons for the way they have chosen to display things. It definitely makes for a wonderful display piece.

I love this part of the business.
I wonder how much this cost them -- and who at the costs? The factory that messed up -- or Power Town? Maybe they split it?
