I’ve never seen a company lose momentum quite like Powertown. They’ve gone so long without an update on series 2, that I’m starting to wonder if somethings wrong. They must see feedback and ppl asking for news. They keep finding ways to keep selling series 1. They will next probably find a way to offer the Cardona/Myers 2 pack again.

Makes you wonder if they ran out of money and are reselling series 1 to raise funds for future stuff. Would also explain the Major Pod guys having such a long pre-order timeline…

I’m guessing they didn’t make the profit they were looking for on series one thus a rerelease with a higher price. Yikes

Im not interested at all esp with those prices and the apparently unavoidable fees to canada. Im not complaining tho as there's already way too many lines popping up

Yikes I don't get their business model - why not keep these available indefinitely, or until they sell out? I guess in my mind, it makes perfect sense to have them for preorder for $45 each. Then they arrive, preorders get filled, why not put the remainder up for sale then for the full $55 price? Keep them up until they sell out, weather it takes 3 months or 3 years. Somewhere it seemed to get in peoples mind that if something doesn't sell out right away, it is a failure, and I don't get that. Now, I fully understand if you made say 10,000 of each figure, and you still have 9,000 left after preorders, that it would be considered a failure, but how often do we see slow sellers from the past be in demand down the line.

I got my Stan Hansen in the mail today. This is my new favorite figure line. I was only able to get Brody and Stan from Series 1, but man these figures are nice
And right up my alley. Non WWF mainstream guys. What I grew up on and being obsessed with in the wrestling magazines
I really hope they put out Abby, RNR Express, Midnight Express, Bockwinkel and countless others
I’ll gladly pay the $65 with shipping for these things

So I guess this is a good sign. Hopefully news soon.

People have to remember that this isn’t Mattel. Look how long some companies take from announcement to figure in hand date. Hopefully we get something announced soon, but from their initial announcement, to quality product in hand was pretty ridiculous turn around time for a new company. If Steve saying series 2 would be focused on tag teams with 2 packs and singles with them being limited. I could see them doing 1 of 1000 singles, 1 of 500 2 packs or something like that. And if they did that, i would hope they’d have them made and ready to ship before announcing.
To add to the rest of my speculation, i hope they get the TNA/impact license. If they make an Abyss i will lose it.

My gut feeling is that the delay has to do with them getting the TNA/Impact license.

It would be incredibly disappointing if we lose out or have to wait longer for legends for a product no one watches. How many TNA names are going to move units?

Legends of TNA would sell I disagree, based on who would be available. A lot of the big names from the original TNA run are elsewhere, either back with WWE in a Legends contract (Hogan/AJ Styles/Nash/BookerT/Steiner/Angle) or in AEW (Jarrett/Lethal) so not sure who would qualify. I just think if Powertown got the TNA license, it would go against their initially stated goal of having this company be a place where these former legends can sign on and get some sort of compensation for their wrestling past. These are the guys that WWE has deemed "not a big enough name" to sign. So while I am sure they would make great TNA figures, I would hope that they stick with their intended goals for the company.

Where did the powertown TNA rumours even start? With all the legends they had signed, would be a huge letdown imo if they are focused on pumping out TNA figures instead.
