It has been confirmed today that WWE are bringing the first major stadium show in the UK in 30 years to Cardiff on Saturday 3rd September 2022. What event do we think it's gonna be? Perhaps a new one? May get a ticket for this as it's a long overdue event.

Apparently prices have shot up quickly. I had a quick look myself and most of the hotels are a fair bit more than I would usually pay for a night in a city. If I go I'll drive and maybe stay at a cheaper hotel a few miles away from the city.

Fantastic that they're finally doing another stadium show here! Considering it but aware I'd just be going because of the "brand name"/memories of Summerslam 92, rather than any actual excitement or expectation for the product.
Will keep an eye on last minute resale closer to the time if the card is good, but current product + memories of the inconsequential UK "PPVs" from 99-02 (which were glorified house shows) are keeping me at arm's length for the moment.

If I get a ticket then hell yeah I'm going, my cousin and I will probably try and go together so next time I see him we'll look into it more. It's exciting, I hope it's an actual PPV event rather than, as mentioned, an Insurrextion type show that nothing happened at. We can but hope!

That's why I booked myself a hotel for 1 night when the rumoured date came out about a month ago, £103.50, 12 min walk from the stadium haha

Booked a hotel back when it was rumoured, but if it turns out to be a supershow and not a PPV, I'll just cancel it.

Booked my hotel yesterday morning for the Friday and Saturday night, £81. Then checked in the afternoon and was £150 and then in the evening was sold out! Got my flights sorted too, £55 return to Bristol and then there's a bus that goes from the airport to Cardiff directly. Flying to Cardiff direct was gonna be like £160 and train was over £200, no chance!

The first stadium show in 30 years, and it's in ing Wales. Why not Wembley?

Train from Newcastle is about £180 return and there are no direct flights. Told him to just come with me in the car as I don't mind driving that far and the fuel alone is much cheaper than that train. And we're free to find a cheap hotel outside of Cardiff that we can easily drive to after the show.

Was tempted to drive down, but it's about 7 hours or so from Edinburgh so for the sake of £55 flights I'd rather do that haha. Definitely a good idea to travel with your mate, can split the petrol costs and also someone to chat with on the drive down!

Apparently, 59,000 people have signed up so far for the pre-sale ticket site. God dammit this should be fun!
