I genuinely love the Sting/HHH match because of all the theatrics, but Sting needed to win. It’s a blemish on the match & as soon as it happened I couldn’t help but think, I wish he’d just stayed away from WWE. In the end, I’m glad he was a part of WWE, Sting deserved it, but they did exactly what he had feared. Even his HOF induction, all Flair does is belittle him like he’s some rookie. What’s Flair known for? 4 Horsemen, 16 time champion….how much of that took place in WWF? Hate to break it to Flair but you’re a WCW guy too. But anyway, yea Sting was misused. I’m just glad he wasn’t there long because they didn’t have the chance to truly make him ordinary like they absolutely would’ve done & have done to so many Hit the nail that the WWE proved Sting and fans right with one match…they were never going to treat Sting like the star/attraction he is and booked him as just another jabroni who fell to HHH.

Totally agree. Just go back and watch his HOF induction or the commentary during his Mania match. It’s shameful, Sting is one of the icons of wrestling DESPITE not having gone to WWE. When WCW was red hot and outdrawing the WWF, he was the hottest property. (along with the nWo but Sting was WHITE hot) To act like he was some small pond guy, give me a break. He’s wrestled in the Tokyo Dome in front of just as many people, if not more, than WrestleMania.Shameful stuff, and I’ll always think of Flair as an ass kisser (just like Steiner said he was) because look at the way he talks about Sting in his HOF induction, like Flair himself is some WWE guy… and look at Flair now. Now he’s got nothing good to say about WWE no more, hmm. That will always bother me more than the Mania loss.

Luger should have been kept as a heel.
