The QC issues that I’ve hit recently with this line is ridiculous. Literally the majority of figures that I’ve bought in the last year has had some kind of issue. Whether it be horrible paint apps, super loose joints, torso-cracking. I’ve literally hit it all. Considering the current cost, probable price increases, and the new format of boxes that the industry will abide by (where you won’t even be able to see defects unless you open the package), I think it’s time to call it quits. I hope the rest of you get the quality that you deserve considering alot spend hundreds of dollars yearly on this hobby. Maybe it’s just bad luck, but I can’t afford to keep pumping money into bad quality.
Mattel customer service is of No help either. Each time I report QC issues, email doesn’t get replied to for weeks. When I finally get a response to provide product info, I never hear back.

I need Ultimate Finn, Triple H, Warrior and Amazon Rock if you have them and want to unload them for reasonable prices.

Luckily, I haven't had too many QC issues recently. I did have a faulty UE Taker that Target helped me with.
If you sell what you have, let me know.

I've had next to no QC issues. Weird.

constant paint app issues, rising prices, limited store availability, questionable part choices... I don’t blame you

QC has been a problem for years now. Paint app issues, loose legs, arms, joints. Some of it bugs me to the point I had to replace them & some I didn’t bother to.
Mass produced products will have this, but I get it.

The only thing Mattel will do is send you some random as figure or sometimes refund you but rarely. So, here’s what you can do. A-Look for the same figure in store, If you find that same figure, buy it, repackage the one with issues and take it back and get your money back. 2- Write all the ones down with issues for 6months to a year, and after you accumulate enough with issues, then contact mattel and they’ll refund you (rarely) or send you random as figures for replacements. Then the ones they send you that you don’t want, take those to the store get your money back and rebuy figures you need

Here’s something funny I ran into with the last time I contacted Mattel. Over the course of 8 months a few years or so back, I had about 18 figures with terrible QC issues. So I emailed Mattel, of those 18 figures they were sending replacements for each 1 except for 1, and it was the Rock Ulitmate Edition, which the leg on it was so loose it won’t stand, it’s bad. They wanted me to return it to them lol, I’m thinking why of all these figures they want me to return this one? I even sent pictures or what was wrong with it, nope, they wanted me to send it to them. For some reason I found that pretty funny.
I only collect pre 2002, so I don’t order a lot , but here lately the qC issues have been so bad, even contacted Steve on here about it and he thought it was I guess uncommon and wanted pics of what I was referring to. I sent pics and he never responded, so found that weird also.

I don’t find a lot of paint app issues with my figures, but the biggest issue I come across with both my wwe and aew figures is what I assume is a broken or loose piece inside of the torsos which causes a rattle sound inside of the figure which you can hear if you move/shake it.

It’s funny how there were none of these issues with the Hasbro line over 30 years ago. All the issues you listed are the result of continuous corner-cutting, nickel and diming, and trying to get away with as much as possible for as much profit as possible.
Everyone from the top down should be ashamed. Just look in the Q&A thread and how the issues with Strongbow are ducked and ignored. Customer service is rock bottom.

If I’m upset by it, Why would I potentially do that to someone else. Hope you’re not doing that man.

If I’m upset by it, Why would I potentially do that to someone else. Hope you’re not doing that man. Obviously there’s differences in repackaging something. You don’t repacking anything with something it’s not. If I get a crap figure that’s not really a big issue, I’ll use it until I find another in store and give it to my son.I mean I’m not paying $25 for a crap figure, ringside won’t take them back if they’re opened if they have issues, so no I’m not going to buy some crap figure and keep it, if it’s something that’s a real issue and i have done it 3-4 times, I’ll take it back and tell them at customer service what’s wrong with it and get my money back. If they put it back on shelf that’s not my issue. If somebody else buys it and if it’s that big of a deal to them, they can return it just like I has to, there’s nothing wrong with doing that unless you buy a something and return it as something it isn’t. But me returning a figure for my money back or exchanging it for another is wrong, then what would you do if you bought say a water hose and got home only to find out it had a hole in it? Are you going to just keep it and not take it back? Of course not and I wouldn’t expect anybody to

I’ve been on the same boat recently. I’ve sold off at least half of my collection and don’t really find the point in collecting much. The quality has gotten really bad to the point where the last three figures I’ve gotten had issues with the upper legs. It’s like the upper leg isn’t connected to the peg. I think for me it’s also the current state of the WWE product. All my favorites are gone and it’s hard to see my childhood go and sometimes seeing these figures remind me of better times. It’s a hard feeling to fathom. I grew up collecting toys all my life and was bullied for a good of my life for them. It did become unhealthy for me at times though. I collected things that I didn’t even care for just for the sake of feeding an addiction. It has it’s positives too… Collecting made me realize that at the end of the day people will always have something to hate on or criticize, but if it makes you happy then so be it. Find others who enjoy the same thing. If I were you, I’d keep your favorites. I myself have two rosters WWF Attitude and WCW, with a few modern favorites in between. Btw anyone else here a Millennial?

It seems like if it's going to be such a source of agitation and not bring you joy, stopping collecting is probably a good -- and the right -- idea.

almost every WWE figure I’ve gotten in a while now has had some form of issue. Mainly too loose/tight joints but also some scan issues
there’s maybe like 3 figures in the past year I’ve gotten that doesn’t have any issues
Tbh I’m pretty much done besides a few of my favorites. Why keep spending 25-30 bucks each if they’re not bringing me joy like that anymore and aren’t even quality products. bunch of money just sitting as desk decorations because I was bored lol
idk maybe something is up with me bc I feel the same way about collecting sneakers rn

Honestly, collecting just like any other hobby or fandom, should make you happy. If the pros outweigh the cons, then it’s probably healthy to get away. It often feels like a lot of people here should do the same.
