With the recent re-release of Ultimate Edition 4, any chance we see others revisited? I really need a Bret and maybe even a Triple H. I have those two and none of the others, isnβt that neat. Thatβs something. π«

I think the main point of the UE4 rerelease was that these figures had some really weird distribution problems because they dropped right as the pandemic began. Mattel took notice of that and decided to produce them again. All the other UE's didn't have that problem but just went up in price because the demand got high after they circulated.
People for the most part had a fair share to grab Series 1 Warrior, Series 2 Triple H, Wave 3 Bret, Wave 5 Becky, and the Amazon Rock figures. I'm pretty sure all of those were even clearance prices at some point or below retail online.
I remember seeing Triple H, Bret, Finn, Becky, Warrior all for $20-$25 at some point. This line was not at all popular when it came out compared to now.
Its not quite the same case, so I'd bet on it not being likely.

hopefully not. theres literally no reason to re-release any of the others. Mattel has specifically said the ONLY reason they did it with Brock & Shawn was because they were very limited in production the first time around
It makes sense really, I think that was the first set to not make it to retail during that weird time where they shifted to Amazon exclusives.
Every other set including the first few has been very easy to obtain at retail. I literally remember seeing Warrior, Bret, etc for months. Just because I didn't buy them at the time and regret it now, doesn't mean Mattel should re-release them to appease my collection.

Well, I understand not wanting them to do straight re-releases, and that's not really what I want either. What I DO want is updated versions of some of those figures. Realistically, I wish the Brock and Shawn had updated torsos with butterfly joints. Same thing with the Amazon Rock. I missed out on him and it's such a personal bummer. But I would love them to release him with different deco on his trunks and a new torso with butterflies.

I would think if Bill and Steve see thereβs money for Mattel to be made in rereleasing them theyβll do it.

Only speculative βinvestorsβ purchasing to later re-sell are allowed to make money. Even though mattel put all the cost in r&d, license acquisition, manufacturing, logistics etc. How dare mattel re-release figures to make profit considering their initial outlay when they should allow the resellers to make the profit.

I don't see them doing that again. Maybe restock if they produced more. If they keep re-release; that line will die. Collectors aren't wishing new collectors get the figures they missed out on. They want new ones with new wrestlers or attires. so you to the only 50 people who got the Amazon rock

Mattel wonβt rerelease any figures on their own. They have their lineups and they need to keep moving forward.
That said, if one of the big box stores specifically ordered a run of any specific figure it would not matter how many βcollectorsβ cried their eyes out about it, Mattel would produce the figure. Steve basically said thatβs what happens in a recent interview when he was talking about how they had DM Steve Austin at Wrestlemania Axxess.

They don't need to re-release the Amazon Rock. All they need to do is keep that same parts, change the color on the trunks, give him a different shirt and an IC title. Close enough to the original to make some people happy, yet different enough to not be a straight up re-release. another IC rock wouldnβt hurt

I mean, he was easily available for months - I got one, no problem and I'm in a different country, lol. Having said that though, I'm pretty sure Mattel will release another Attitude Era UE Rock eventually.

True I managed to get two, I remember that rock restocking 2 or 3 different times and it was up for days at a time maybe longer. I think we need a 2002 undisputed champ rock before we get another attitude era one

Think sometimes we donβt give credence or though to how available something is until itβs too late. The RSC brood Hardy boyz I keep saying to myself βIβll pick it up soonβ and before I knew it I blew the chance. Not saying thatβs always the case, we all know the figures which mysteriously seem to have super low runs for no apparent reason or have poor distribution but often we just are not quick enough to grab our chances

Which has happened like the Ultimate Brock and Shawn on the Ringside website (plug). So The Rock can follow the pattern too. Or... Mattel will make new figures of the same wrestlers with slight variation. Like the new Ultimate Warrior. That attire was used in previous Elite figures but now in an Ultimate. Great for collectors who weren't able to grab those older elites. That Ultimate Rock can be re-released as a new figure, with a new attire color and accessories but still be similar enough to the Amazon version to satisfy your needs.

I think people thought that he would just sit forever and he did for a while. I managed to get two on separate occasions. Imo, this is more of a once itβs gone people start to panic and now want to get it type of deal. I wonder if some of these figures didnβt hold some value if the the sentiment would be the same. All the UEβs were easily available. I want different attires if anything. I really want a WCW black singlet UE Bret. Iβve stated this numerous times, it satisfies those who want an attire similar to SS β97, but also different enough to be itβs own figure. This is also coming from someone who has his DM too.

I'd take a 98 Nation Rock with a purple strap IC belt.

Not one Ultimate has been hard to get with exception of maybe Sgt, and even he is about $100 on evilbay at this pointβ¦ PLENTY of Hitmans, Triple Hs, Rocks and every other wrestler you βmissed out onβ they can make, absolutely no need to reissue/rerelease these figures! Much rather we get different versions of them at this point.
Canβt wait to see all the βcan we rereleaseβ Doink, Macho and Diesel in a couple of months cause you βmissed outβ on a made to order item. π
