comicbook.com/wwe/news/dark-side-of-the-ring-canceled-vice-new-series-plane-ride-from-hell/Acclaimed series Dark Side of the Ring was not picked up by Vice TV and will end its run. Apparently the biggest victim of its own "cancel culture", too many burnt bridges in the industry after the Plane Ride from Hell episode. The creators will reportedly move onto a new series highlighting the territories of old, joining forces with The Rock and his production studio.

It's for the best. The show started out strong but lost steam fairly quickly
Shame we never got episodes on the Nailz and steroid debacles though

I am not shocked.
After the Flair and Dreamer situation last season, I could see a lot of wrestlers not even wanting to sit down for interviews now in fear they get their words twisted around with editing and such.

Not shocked. The first season was legit great IMO, but season 2 lost a lot of luster and the creators seemed to burn too many bridges. JR said he’d never appear again after he felt misrepresented by the editing, and Flair and Dreamer have a lot of supporters as well.
What gets me is that the plane ride from hell has been well documented for the last 20 years. A quick google search would find plenty of dirt sheets and articles that discussed what happened. Was what Flair and other did ok? Absolutely not. But to stir this crap up again after 20 years and to make it out like a “witch hunt” was over the top IMO.

Be careful, this will trigger all the new woke generation of users on this board. Ha ha ha

it was fun while it lasted, but I don’t feel it benefitted the wrestling industry overall

I am sorry I have to lock this. No political talk here. I know this whole "cancel culture" thing is not directly political but it's close enough. These type of posts don't end well either which most of the reason it's not allowed. The other reason being that this is a place to get away from all that opposition and hate (not taking any sides here either). No room for that here. I figured I would explain this because it's indirectly political and on topic. Thanks for your understanding. JS
