There’s been a lot of users who have come and gone that I miss a lot from this forum. I use to post a lot more here as well until every started to get too sensitive. The classic board has always been my “home” on this forum and still have fun here. I just miss the tournaments and constant new threads that would pop up daily (I ran a “Best WCW Champ Tournament” years ago and looking back at those old threads showed how active and fun this forum use to be).

Marino sucked. Dude was the WWE mod but would only allow WWE positive posts. God forbid you go against the company under his watch.

Marino was one of the better mods this board had yet the constant trolling, negative attitudes and harassing messages he got pushed him away. This board is supposed to be a hobby for most of us and honestly the way the members were acting there made it look like romper room. I don’t blame him for stepping away because it wasn’t fun logging in because people turned that board (and many others) toxic. |

I use to post here all the time for years under a different name but like it was said above. The toxic mods who are holier than thou and the certain few cry baby posters here made me leave last year. My former login won't work anymore. I do look here once in a while and I can tell how crappy it's gotten here.
Any way, I gotta "ball straight call" and get out of here.

I don't post much, I never really did, but this is also my favourite board/one I frequent the most.
And if any of you regulars disappeared, it'd be a sad day indeed.

I think he is still around under a different username. There was someone with a cat avatar who always sounded similar to him, maybe someone know who im talking about. I liked Anvilfan, I had the same kinda tastes as him in wrestling.

I saw a lot of what was going on there were people would claim the WWE sucks and then go on to say they hadn’t watched it in over 5 + years or longer. So if that’s the case they shouldn’t be posting anything in those threads because they don’t know what was happening. But they just wanted to start a flame war. If they haven’t seen or followed it for that long they have no actual opinion because they haven’t watched/followed it for so long they don’t know how it is. It would be the same thing as me going onto a music site and saying all hip hop artist suck. I don’t listen to it or know any artists so I don’t know if does or doesn’t. But that’s all I am going to say on the subject and before others come in to this thread and start bad mouthing anyone know if they do the thread will be locked and reported for trolling. Let’s all be adults about it if you don’t like someone keep it to yourself or take the conversation to messages and not on the board where it ruins the positive experience we want people to have. I don’t know about others but coming to a site and seeing constant negativity ruins me wanting to go back to the site. |

that’s a fair take, PJ. I think you’re right that there were a lot of members behaving like that. and it’s great that the classics board doesn’t have that type of nonsense in it’s threads.

I’m sure I’m in the minority but Marino always came across as a troll to me. Still probably the minority, but I’ve had conversations with several on this board in the past and they felt the same way.

I liked Marino but at times he could be abrupt. I remember a few years back I queried the sudden increase in the cost of wrestling figures and he responded and asked me if I worked in the Mattel factory. It felt to me that he implied that I shouldn't complain about the cost if I don't know how much they are to make. |
