Damn Sal, if only you could have continued selling poorly made products without any backlash, everything would have been fine!

Good riddance. Hope the guy stays out of the hobby in every way possible. Absolute disgusting human.

Scammer. Out and out scammer.
I don't think we need to say more at this point, Sal's had plenty of opportunities to engage with his customer base (those who paid him directly for goods they'll never receive) and he's never engaged in a civil manner with people who did receive goods, and attempted to reclaim their money for one reason or another.
Let's call attention to the elephant in room here - people have paid, and not received. He's now blaming others for his own failures. There's a post on the MWFP FB group which has a screengrab of a chat between the poster and James Storm, and it looks like James Storm isn't even aware of the status of his own figure. I thought the stuff Charles pulled was dodgy, but this...... this is just something else.
I would have loved to buy the Monsters line, but there's no point now. He's made it impossible for me to trust that I'll ever receive what I thought I was buying.

Has anyone tried throwing Sal in the ocean?
Serious question.

3poajamie -- not trying to be skeptical, but I feel like if you ask him what should be asked, he will end the interview.

3poajamie -- not trying to be skeptical, but I feel like if you ask him what should be asked, he will end the interview. sadly, I have to agree - why would he agree to come on and talk openly about the truth of what's gone on?
in an ideal world, this interview would be an honest conversation covering the figures and the problems with them:
1. What happened in production to reduce the detail on Roadblock's hair so far from the concept art? Even the paint samples had detailed hair, whereas the finished product just looks shit. http://instagram.com/p/Cf9gjGDOhEi
Was Sal actually happy with what his factory produced, and if not, why did he continue to release it to buyers rather than challenge them to produce the designs he'd agreed to? (assuming he didn't agree to reduce the quality obvs...)
2. Where was the Quality Control over the original prototypes and final samples before entering production? Why were the torso pegs left out of the design, and why was this not highlighted during QC discussions about structural integrity of the figures?
3. Why were the figures made using white plastic and then painted, rather than moulded in coloured plastic for the predominant colour of the part and the details painted afterwards? And given the QC question, how was it never picked up that the paint application layer caused additional friction to the articulation points, leading to further risk of torsos splitting?
4. What has happened to the French Angel and CVV figures? Are they still being produced in another factory, or have they been withdrawn entirely now?
5. What is happening to the Monsters line? When will the figures go on sale, and how long will it take from preorder to receiving them in hand?
6. Are the Monsters figures going to have resolved the problems identified by the wrestling line? (e.g. coloured plastic as the base, proper torso design, will the finished products look exactly like the artwork he's shared to date or are we looking at another reduction in quality?)
and then finally..... the questions we all want answers to, which we all know he won't give.
7. If (depending on the answer to 4.) the French Angel and CVV figures are being made at another factory which is capable of producing better figures, why isn't he doing a re-production run of the Roadblock and Larry figures to provide the original buyers with the figures they thought they would be buying?
8. Is the wrestling line completely done now? Even James Storm doesn't know if his figure is ever coming, and why isn't he in regular communication with the talent so they're aware of when their licenced merchandise is going to be available?
9. Why are people being blocked for asking basic questions about goods they've paid for and not received?
10. Will people who ordered figures like Larry/Roadblock and still haven't received them, ever receive their goods? And why are questions for refunds being ignored? (or blocked)
11. Where did the money go?
12. Does he regret scamming the collector community? Does he even see what he's done as a scam? Does he even care....?
Sadly, and I know it's not 3poajamie's fault, it's the nature of how podcasting works, but sadly I know he can't ask these questions as Sal would do a runner (again) and not engage. I love the podcast, but I can see it's just going to be an hour and a half of blowing smoke up Sal's arse, talking all luvvy-duvvy about the industry, the challenges etc, and not a proper interview to get to the root of the matter - what happened, why, and what will be done to put it right?

Youâll be mistaken, this interview is to address the issues and no smoke will be blown and nothing will be advertised. Both parties know this is an off limits interview where the main point is giving the community answers.

He knows what we are there for, the questions that need to be asked will be asked and we will get answers. Under normal circumstances I get that someone wouldnât sit there and take a load of negative questions but this is the only way it can go

Both parties know this is an off limits interview where the main point is giving the community answers. thanks, that's what the community needs, and frankly, it's what he needs to do in order to build confidence and credibility once again.
if the interview can just get to the bottom of what happened, why he let people down, and what (if anything) he's going to do to make it up to people who bought in good faith based on concept art and did not receive what they paid for, then it will help the community to understand what's going on.
but please.... please, do NOT take shitty excuses or dodging around the key issues in the room? this is an opportunity to get things out in the open, and help the community to understand what's gone on. if its gonna have loads of "Well I can't talk about that...." or "It's happened, it's in the past, I've moved on" then it's not gonna make good audio, and it's not gonna help anyone. I'm not out for blood, like many I just want to understand why this whole thing turned from something really promising, into something so disappointing for pretty much everyone.
looking forward to it!

I'd be astonished if he did anything but give crappy excuses and play the failures down as much as possible.

He will say that he did already send stuff out and people received it. That nobody can be found will be claimed that it is not his fault.
How about you collect the names and order numbers of everybody here and confront him with the individual order status? This will show that he has done nothing.
Respect to you for investing your time. I wouldnât even be willing to talk to such a guy.

This whole situation sucks, it's pure rotten. I don't even believe that the amount of figures that were produced matched any order amount, he's made a few on the cheapest of the cheap, sent them out to look like it's legit, then ed the rest of you for the money. He shouldn't get away with it, but the order time is screwing you from claiming the money back. Scumbag.

Most of them enjoy the fame more than the money but simply lack in professionalism. In the end most of the money might be burned in China. The fact that he is facing this issue in the pod makes me believe that he still hasnât given up, so there might be a chance people still get their trashy figures⊠at leastâŠ
