There's been a lot of threads with negativity or criticism -- so I'd thought I'd start a positive one.
What are some things you really like about collecting figures?
For me, it's meeting people through this community online, speculating on future figures -- and memories back to being a kid!

I still marvel at the crazy jump face printing did for face likenesses for WWE and Hasbro figures.
Whenever my favorite Jakks RA/DA figures/attires get the Mattel upgrade, it's just a dope feeling.
CS8 Hogan was the linchpin of my CS collection growing up, so the new UE hits all the right spots. Same goes for that SummerSlam '05 HBK coming out - a dream figure for sure.

Seeing the Mattel Hall/Razor head was so amazing compared to the HORRIBLE Jakks head...most of the heads are so much better with Mattel.

Ultimate Editions - hopefully they stay as A level talent only, cause Iwant more Hitmans. Warriors. machos and Hogans
Seeing other peoples collections - I really like how other collectors approach their collections and seeing themes etc. itโs awesome.

they look good. can pull off more moves and better articulation than the hasbros in the 90s. scaled and propotioned better than jakks. double jointed elbows.

1. The amount of choice, options and depth. It's one of the reasons I started collecting. Everyone's collection can look different and unique.
2. Looking at different people's displays and toy room tours.
3. The Basics line. I like it now more so because most people don't like to give it the time of day. To me they are necessary to a display collection because they are what makes your WWE display unique because not everyone has them. Alot of the basics released are not released in Elite form. It's not likely that you will get suited MVP in elite form nor would you probably get Hurt Buisness Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Put the three of them next to Elite 89 Lashley and McIntyre Elite 89 on the babyface side and you are getting a good display going.

As I get older, it's nostalgia, that's what keeping me going! Wrestling is more important to me than marvel or anything else

Getting them signed. I enjoy the process of selecting which figure I want to get signed based off gear or packaging and selecting a paint pen to that compliments those colors.

1) Nostalgia 2) Habit - I've always collected since Hasbro 3) The way they look on display 4) The above and beyond figures like Ultimate Macho Man or Defining Moments 5) The rush of finding something new on the pegs

For me, itโs looking at other peoples creations, things that youโd never thought be imaginable or that toy companies would never produce. Itโs also, making fantasy matches, collecting a roster of figures that captured my childhood. Itโs also affording and finally having figures I could never have in my childhood too. I think memories are great, whether itโs figure hunting or anticipating a release with everyone else here. Last but not least, interacting with fellow collectors and discussing what we like and dislike about our hobby.

The breadth of characters and costumes. Iโve got six Billy shelves of figures and Iโm not even that big of a wrestling fan.
Also, I know this isnโt a popular opinion, but I like how Mattelโs figures are mostly accurate and have pretty good likenesses, but still look like a toy.

This might be strange...but I love that new Mattel figure smell. The first thing I do upon popping a new elite or ultimate out of the plastic is give it a good sniff.
