Are these 6 really the greatest hits in terms of elites? Lol. Its the greatest Bam Bam fig, probably greatest Rey, Rikishi is probably slightly better than the other, it’s a Jake a lot of people weren’t able to get a hold of, all return to the deadman Takers are the same to me. Rock is the one that sticks out. Anyone wanted it coulda easily gotten it and haven’t heard a single person new to line ask for it. There were definitely plenty of better Rocks to have included. ik to you they’re the same but Undertaker started in 2004 wearing the belt pants then switched to tights in 2006 but the more colorful side designs came in 08-10 I’m pretty sure like the red we see on E8 Also Rock makes sense bc we got so many in ring Rock recently. Top Picks is everywhere but also we got UE10, Rock/Sock, basic 125, 2 pack with Cena and a Top Picks basic coming soon. The BOAE figure came out in 2018. 4 years ago. Better to get and not ask then ask and not get. I would’ve done E31 personally tho |

Wave 8 Undertaker is so out of left field. I hated that figure's headscan and hair when it was first released way back when. I don't really understand why'd you choose to make it again. Why not make the Hall of Champions Elite again? That's the only release we have of that era of Undertaker and its probably my favorite Taker figure.
But I love the idea to release that Jake, Rey and Bam Bam again. Rikishi is a figure a lot of people didn't get a chance to buy. The Rock is a bit of an odd choice too considering its pretty plain.
But if this line works, there's going to be a lot of good coming out of it. Rereleasing some of those way back Elites for more recent collectors to buy is a great idea, and its sort of a make good for some of those lines that had distribution problems (IE: that Flashback Jake). They'll also have a good chance at having some collectors buying the figure for the second time if they use updated technology on the rereleases, like double-jointed pinless elbows and real FX scans.
I think this is promising. The thing that does worry me is the questionable choices for the very first series out.

Yeah i guess for the particular characters, Bam Bam n Rikishi are the best. Personally for me the best Bam Bam is the one they haven't made; a blue red orange yellow flamed one from '93 or Wrestlemania Arcade Game with double jointed elbows. The All Stars Jake is the best one for me. The Rock is ok. Mysterio I had it for parts and that Taker I don't care about. |

Unlikely, but hope they include titles that were supposed to come with figures, in this line. Like elite 23 jbl with the wwe title. King booker with the heavyweight.

Would be nice to get a new headscan for Rikishi, the old one is cartoony looking IMO If this is hall of champions, I hope they include his yellow glasses, don’t believe it came with those first time around. |

This is a fun conversation. ECW Bam Bam and AS Jake are their best figures imo. So I would agree these picks aren't any kind of "Best of," but I do understand getting the older and/or harder figures to people.
I'm really not into this idea in general, and I say that as someone who will grab Rikishi this time around. We still need a Mania XI Bam Bam. Jake has tons of tights Mattel could still make. If we were getting Harley Race in this set, I could see the justification for it. The Rey and Taker were both good figures for their time, but not ones I think people, en masse, are dying to have circled back on. I would just rather have repaints of attires in this situation to get people a new look we haven't had before.
The Rock in particular is a weird one to me.

Meh. None for me. Of every figure ever made by Mattel, I have the ones I want. I really wish they'd focus more on FTIL even though I know that makes zero sense profit wise.

I’m not really a fan of this idea This is what happens when you only got 50 wrestlers to choose from to make elites out of. They come up with new lines to try and freshen things up which it doesn’t. |
