out of all these re-releases, the only thing I need is the Attitude Era Rock im hoping actually this one coming out will lead to people wanting to get rid of their original one so I can get that instead I know I'm in this boat, I'll be upgrading unless it's a new shirt. That said I hope it's a new style so I can keep both. |

I hope they have improvements to be honest. I'm fine with them being straight re-releases but imagine Best of Attitude Era Rock with the new Face technology and a set of swappable hands (Just Bring It?)
EDIT I posted this before going through the thread and see that its been confirmed they'll have new elbows and trueFX. Preorder has been made.

It says greatest hits 1 so more waves are coming, I'm so excited for this I wanted all of them, I really hope HOC warrior get remade and many more are on my wish list specifically post mask removal era Kane.

It'll be interesting to see that Undertaker with an updated FX scan.
As for the set in general, probably won't be getting any.
If they do a series 2, i'd definitely get any of the following
- Elite 1 Edge
- Elite 2 Triple H
- Elite 14 King Booker
- Elite 22 Kane
- Elite 23 JBL

This is going to p!ss off the scalpers selling most of these originals for $100+ and the Bam Bam for $150. Same deal as UE 4. People are still trying to sell HBK for over $300.

The value of the original legends Bam Bam for instance isn’t going to change much because that packaging was beautiful, more iconic and very collectable. Compared to the cheap, generic, flimsy boxes of today’s elites (Ultimates not included). |

So the Mattel Greatest Hits Series wave 1 will be re-releases of Jake Roberts - flashback 3 Rikishi - Hall of Champions Undertaker - Elite 8 Bam Bam Bigelow - legends 5 Rey Mysterio - elite 24 The Rock - Amazon best of attitude era Thoughts? I'm 100 percent in on Bam Bam since I missed out on the original. I'll probably wait to see comparison pics of the others before I commit to any of them, but I think they're all solid choices. I love that Mattel isn't just re-releasing the old Elite figures. New articulation and packaging will make these feel brand new. I hope this line will be a relief to a lot of collectors who got priced out of the first versions. |

The only people this actually "hurts" are the ones who have some weird preconceived notion in regard to the value of their collections and want to serve as gatekeepers who dictate what other people should and should not have easier and more affordable access to. You can make the newest AEW Jericho 1 of 3,000 chase by buying the regular figure and swapping it at the torso with any of the readily available, standard issue Jericho figures that have come out since series 6, but that's not stopping people from dropping $100+ on a package and a sticker. Everyone's going to be just fine. |
