So I feel this is a topic that doesn't get talked about much on here. That being your favourite SNME or Main Event matches that you enjoyed over the years.
Every 6 weeks - 3 months (depending the year or where they placed the show at yearly) we would be treated to an SNME show or a Main Event show. Some moments or matches stand out still to this day, and of course some matches and moments get forgotten because they just didn't connect or were done too fast.
So with all that saying, what was everyone's favourite matches or moments of these shows??
I remember the first ever SNME show I watched fully, by staying up late and watching it was the January 1988 SNME show. That was when Hogan beat Bundy and Andre came in and choked out Andre for minutes, before the likes of the Bulldogs, Strike Force, Roberts and Duggan came down to stop Andre.
I missed out on everything from 1985 - 1987 then, but to be fair I was 4 years when the first SNME show started, so no way was I gonna know about that.
Over the years though, I watched every SNME show.
For those older shows, Jake Roberts giving Ricky Steamboat the DDT on the floor was insane!
The British Bulldogs vs. the Dream Team matches that happened on two occasions on the SNME shows were fun to watch.
Randy Savage vs. Bret Hart was kind of a disappointment with Savage doing the sprained ankle gimmick.
Hulk Hogan coming to the ring with Elizabeth to save Randy Savage after the Hart Foundation held Savage for a Honky Tonk Man guitar shot to the head.
The 20 man battle royal from 1987 a month before Wrestlemania III, where we got to see Hogan vs. Andre for the first time on TV even before Wrestlemania III.
Now, for the things I remember and enjoyed when watching it as it happened.
Andre the Giant pinning Hulk Hogan for the WWF Title. I remember how shocked and insane that was, even at my age of 7 years old!
Brutus Beefcake going one on one with his former partner Greg Valentine.
The Rockers vs. The Brain Busters matches that took place twice.
The Mega Powers breaking up with Savage hitting Elizabeth and Hogan taking her to the back.
Rick Martel vs. Tito Santana in a one on one match that ended up having all the teammates of them around the ring before Survivor Series 1989.
LOD/Ultimate Warrior vs. Demolition in an explosive six man tag match.
Ted DiBiase and Virgil beating up Dustin Rhodes and splitting his head open with a wooden chair in front of Dusty Rhodes.
Bret Hart vs. Ted DiBiase in a one on one match right after Wrestlemania VII.
The 20 man battle royal that Mr. Perfect won at that show.
And here is an interesting fact about Randy Savage. He beat both Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart in matches at SNME shows. Bret in 1987 and Neidhart in 1989.
So I would love to hear other's thoughts on their favourite SNME/Main Event shows or matches.

SNME was awesome back in the day.So many great matches like Busters/Demo in 2/3, Harts/Rockers,Bret/Dibiase,Perfect/Chico, etc.Even though the two 92 shows didnt live up to its glory years they were still fun IMO. Loved Sid's heel turn
Plus you had Jesse/Vince in the booth from 85-90. Perfect choice to call these shows.I have every show in my collection so from time to time I dig out a random show and watch it. Always a fun watch from my fav era of wrestling

Yeah, the Perfect/Tito match has to be my favorite from SNME. It was damn near perfect (puns... ain't they fun).
Other fun moments and matches:
1985: Roddy Piper vs. Paul Orndorff - these two were great together. This wasn't wrestling, it was a street fight. I liked them fighting down the aisle, underneath the announce table.
1986: Ricky Steamboat vs. Jake the Snake - loved these two working together. They wrestled three times on TV. And the DDT on the floor was something to see. Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff - anytime these two met was gold. Hulk Hogan vs. Hercules Hernandez - a good match. But Jess on the Mic made it so much more entertaining. Also, Hogan was wearing blue kneepads instead of the usual red. Very unique. Macho Man vs. Jake the Snake Roberts - a really great, fast-paced match.
1987: Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff - a really great cage match, one of Hogan's best. Really great stuff. 20 Man Battle Royal - the first meeting between Hulk and Andre, good stuff. And the blood on Poffo after the headbutt from Andre was shocking. Macho Man vs. Honky Tonk Man - a good match, but the stuff at the end with shoving Liz, hitting Savage with the guitar, and Hogan coming to the rescue to form the Mega Powers. Macho Man vs. Bret Hart - a good match, but could have been a whole lot better if they didn't work the ankle so much and just let these two go at it.
1988: Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant - Andre actually winning then selling the title to DiBiase, great storytelling. Jake the Snake Roberts vs Rick Rude - good match, the blowoff match to a great feud, and the beginning of another feud with Jake giving Andre a heart attack. Macho Man vs. Andre the Giant - an okay match, great stuff at the end with Jake coming down and getting involved.
1989: Mega Powers vs. Twin Towers - the Mega Powers Exploding, great stuff Hulk Hogan vs. Big Boss Man - a really great cage match, the superplex was unbelievable. Jimmy Snuka vs. Greg Valentine - not a great match, but Ronnie Garvin as the ref and punching Greg was great, and Jess on the mic was gold. Brutus Beefcake vs. Randy Savage - a good match, Beefcake and Savage worked well together, and the continuation of the Hogan/Beefcake Savage/Zeus feud was great. Demolition vs. Brain Busters - 2/3 falls, another great tag team match. The Genius vs. Hulk Hogan - The Genius actually winning, and Mr. Perfect destroying the WWF title. Rockers vs. Brain Busters - 2/3 falls match was great. These teams had great matches.
1990: Hulk Hogan/Ultimate Warrior vs. Perfect/Genius - good match, great setup to their feud. Macho King vs. Hulk Hogan - good match, and end to their year-long feud. The Savage/Douglas stuff was fun. Hart Foundation vs. Rockers - these teams always had great matches together. Ultimate Warrior vs. Ted DiBiase - a really good match, probably Warrior's best promo that I can remember. Savage attacking him at the end of the match was icing on the cake. Macho King vs. Dusty Rhodes - still haven't seen the full match, but the stuff with Dusty/Dustin/DiBiase/Virgil was great.
1991: Mr. Perfect winning the battle royal, Hammer being the last eliminated was cool too. Bret Hart vs. Ted DiBiase - a really good match, these guys needed to feud with one another. Ultimate Warrior vs. Sgt Slaughter - I liked these two together, this was a fun match with a great Warrior/Taker face-to-face meeting.
1992: Hogan/Sid vs. Flair/Taker - that was a huge match at the time. The Sid turn was great. Macho vs. Jake - not a great match, but the blow-off match to their amazing feud. Also, at the end of the match you get Taker's babyface turn.

For me it was the one in the Meadowlands that had Uncle Elmer’s wedding and the main event was Roddy Piper vs Paul Orndorff. That was the only life show I ever went to. I had bought the tickets and taken my father there for A Father’s Day gift for his birthday.

I still wish Rude beat Warrior for the belt in July 90. He no doubt wouldve lost it back to em at SSlam but man just to see the winged eagle around his waist just once

Rude wins by shenanigans, hence the need for a cage to keep Heenan out. Gives the match more stakes and the cage more relevance.

I can understand why the didn't want Warrior to lose the belt, even if he was going to regain it quickly. They probably didn't want him losing the title in his first major feud after winning the belt from Hogan. My main issue with the match is that Rude lost by pinfall. They should have had other Heenan family members interfere in the match making it appear that Rude won, but in the end Warrior retain the belt by DQ/outside interference. Then the cage match makes sense.

The promos from Rude wouldve been great though. I can see em bragging how he beat em for both the IC and World Titles,How he's always one step ahead etc.
This along with Bobby gloating on PTW man gold TV right there

I always loved the use of the superstars logos before a match, such a little thing, but it made the matches seem so much cooler to me as a kid.
My favorite one that I watched as a kid was from the end of 1990 and had Warrior and the LOD vs Demolition.
The Best of Saturday Nights Main Event VHS tape (Rockers on the cover) was my first WWF video and I watched the hell out of that thing, it had matches from 1989 the best two being The Rockers vs The Brain Busters and Hogan vs Boss Man in the cage.
I have vivid memories of the last one in 1992, I was so happy when Sid jumped off the apron and left Hogan hanging! It was what he deserved after what he did to Sid at the 1992 Royal Rumble in my opinion!
Such a shame htat was the last one, I know that they did the SummerSlam Spectacular, Survivor Series Showdown and March to WrestleMania specials, but they were never the same.

Actually that wasn't the last one. They had one more in late 1992. The matches were: The Ultimate Maniacs vs. Money Inc., Shawn Michaels vs. The British Bulldog, and Bret Hart vs. Papa Shango.
