Ospreay, about the super low rating week
"It sucks that it was such a low rating but it's just motivating me and I'm sure it's motivating others to try and think out of the box and come back swinging," Ospreay said. "I'm not someone who ignores that type of s---. I see it and I take note of it. I put it in the checkbook and I make sure whatever we do next week, we come back swinging. We shouldn't ignore criticism or shy away from it. We're still a five-year company and we're still hitting the ropes with these things. For me, AEW still has lots of growing pains to go through."

I really don’t want to acknowledge your novel again, but there’s something in there that I can’t get past. You talk down about WWE on a consistent basis yet you would enthusiastically welcome an AEW v. WWE show? Any way you can explain that in less than 500 words? I talk negatively about both companies when they deserve it. They're the biggest and best companies in North America. A "Forbidden Door" between the two would be fantastic. I count 28 words there. What about those toy reviewers using the place as their own personal notebook? Are they not supposed to provide an opinion? Are they not supposed to generate discussion? Yes, you do talk negatively about both, but you certainly don’t praise or complement both. You’ll say when AEW is doing something you don’t like, but you only say bad things about WWE (especially its fans). You treat WWE like the evil empire Tony refers to it as, and you look down on its fans even though it is the most popular and broad appealing of the sport. You’ve literally said before that WWE fans are not wrestling fans. You said WWE fans are WWE fans. For one, that is such a gross generalization. Two, most AEW fans are probably also WWE fans as I believe there is much overlap (not the other fan around though). And three, that is like saying people that only watch the NBA are not basketball fans. Or people that only watch UFC are not fans of mixed martial arts. Or I’m not a fan of movies if I’m not a fan of all genres. You pretend like AEW is the A24 of wrestling or something. Do people forget that you have guys like Jericho and Edge that still wrestle a WWE style? You act like AEW has such a different style that you can’t be a true wrestling fan without liking it. I watch WWE, NXT, and TNA. That’s enough for me. I don’t love AAA or NJPW so I guess I am not a wrestling fan.

You treat WWE like the evil empire Tony refers to it as, and you look down on its fans even though it is the most popular and broad appealing of the sport. You don't spend much time in the Raw threads do you? The place I go when I watch Raw and compliment all the things I like? Don't let facts get in the way of your narrative though........... You’ve literally said before that WWE fans are not wrestling fans. You said WWE fans are WWE fans. Yes. Most of them are WWE fans only. I've said that and backed it up with evidence that your predecessor refused to acknowledge. You're welcome to give it a go if you want. For one, that is such a gross generalization. It's also a gross generalization to say that most Canadians love hockey. It's also a fact. Two, most AEW fans are probably also WWE fans as I believe there is much overlap (not the other fan around though). You're right. There are a lot of AEW fans who watch WWE but not a lot of WWE fans who watch AEW. Gee I wonder if that could be because they are WWE fans only? And three, that is like saying people that only watch the NBA are not basketball fans. Or people that only watch UFC are not fans of mixed martial arts.Neither the NBA nor UFC have a built in an "us vs them" mentality among their fans when it comes to other leagues/organizations. When UFC guys started going to Pride and vice versa all the fans were stoked to see the new match ups and dream fights. That mentality does not exist in the majority of WWE fan's minds. If AEW and WWE did a "Forbidden Door" how many WWE fans would buy and watch it compared to AEW fans? How many WWE fans would care? Or I’m not a fan of movies if I’m not a fan of all genres. And now you're going to pretend that ALL PEOPLE love ALL MOVIES across the spectrum. Just as many men will be lining up to see the new "Sex and The City" movie as women will? Just as many women will be lined up to the new "John Wick" movie as men? Just look at Marvel and DC. There are cross over fans. There are also hardcore fans of both who don't care to watch the other. Pretty simple stuff. You pretend like AEW is the A24 of wrestling or something. Do people forget that you have guys like Jericho and Edge that still wrestle a WWE style? So where are all the WWE fans who loved Jericho and Edge in WWE? I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that they don't matter anymore because they aren't in WWE? Cody was in AEW and WWE fans didn't care. He went back and now he's their hero. CM Punk was in AEW and WWE fans didn't care. Now he's back in WWE and he's their darling again. Funny how that works out. You act like AEW has such a different style that you can’t be a true wrestling fan without liking it.
I didn't say that at all. I've complained PLENTY OF TIMES that AEW's style can over the top "Indy" and that they need to tone it down. I've said PLENTY OF TIMES they need more stories like............... Wait for it................ WWE. I watch WWE, NXT, and TNA. That’s enough for me. I don’t love AAA or NJPW so I guess I am not a wrestling fan.
I like how you try to "expand your list" by acting like NXT isn't apart of WWE. Funny stuff. And yeah I can see how much TNA you watch based on the zero posts you have in any of the threads. Or do you just not post in there because you don't want to use the board as your own personal notebook like all those pesky toy reviewers?

I like how you try to "expand your list" by acting like NXT isn't apart of WWE. Funny stuff. And yeah I can see how much TNA you watch based on the zero posts you have in any of the threads. Or do you just not post in there because you don't want to use the board as your own personal notebook like all those pesky toy reviewers? I don't even know where to start with the nonsense you wrote here. You literally contradict yourself many times, but I'll pull out just few things: 1. "I like how you try to "expand your list" by acting like NXT isn't apart of WWE. Funny stuff." - NXT Black & Gold was vastly different than the normal WWE product. Yes, it was still under the WWE umbrella, but it was very different. It was basically a blend of indie and WWE and I loved every minute of it. I still watch NXT to this day, but when I say I've watched NXT, it includes Black & Gold and you can't say it was the same as what occurred on the main roster at the time. I also said I don't love NJPW. Doesn't mean I never watched it. I tried it for a few years and it felt very repetitive to me so I unsubscribed from NJPW World. But even so, just stating one other company is enough to get my point across. 2. "And yeah I can see how much TNA you watch based on the zero posts you have in any of the threads." - I don't need to post in the thread to prove I watch or to prove I am a fan. I don't post in the Raw or SmackDown threads either. I am not sitting here at the keyboard keeping track of every single thing I watch like some other people here. I really don't need to prove to you what I watch and don't watch. And, why would I lie about watching TNA? Why wouldn't I lie and just name 10 other promotions as well. I've never watched a single match from MLW, but even if I did, I most likely wouldn't post about it. I really only even post in here because you say such outlandish things that really need to be pointed out and discussed. 3. "Neither the NBA nor UFC have a built in an "us vs them" mentality among their fans when it comes to other leagues/organizations. When UFC guys started going to Pride and vice versa all the fans were stoked to see the new match ups and dream fights. That mentality does not exist in the majority of WWE fan's minds." - This has nothing to do with what I said. You make so many assumptions about people you don't know that it comes off laughable. You assume that every wrestling fan even wants to watch multiple promotions. There doesn't even need to be an "us v. them" mentality. Maybe some fans watch WWE and that satisfys them. They get what they want from that one product and they don't want or need to watch anything else. They may not even know AEW exists. That should be ok. But to you it is not. You look down on those people for not being "cultured" in their wrestling. You say these fans are not wrestling fans. My point is they are. Just because they watch only WWE doesn't mean they aren't wrestling fans. I don't care if they hate AEW, ignore AEW, or don't know it is a thing. A WWE exclusive fan is still a wrestling fan. You don't need to watch AEW or any other company to gain that "status." If you only watch AEW and nothing else (which I'd gather is rare since no one really watches this product), are you a wrestling fan? Or are you only an AEW fan? Lastly, I don't spend time in the RAW threads as I stated above, but I never said you didn't post there. I said you don't have anything nice to say in there. Which was never disproven. You talk negatively about both companies, but you don't (or let me say VERY rarely because you might have done it once in your life) complement or praise WWE.

Thank God the Big Bang Theory was back this week. Show started almost 200k higher than last week,….lost over 140k of them in the first 15 minutes, but that’s usually what happens when the Big Bang Theory fans get back from the bathroom and go “what is this on my TV?”. If AEW and TBS was smart they would make Dynamite from 8-10:30 and legit have like a 30 minute intermission somewhere where they just play an episode of Big Bang Theory, that way they can get another fake 200k viewership increase somewhere in the middle of the show like what they get at the very beginning.

I don't even know where to start with the nonsense you wrote here. You literally contradict yourself many times, but I'll pull out just few things:
Contradictions. The person who told me this website wasn't "my own personal notebook" and referenced me writing, "novels" is now replying like this? Funny stuff. 1.
So what you're saying is WWE and NXT are in fact the same thing and then you typed a bunch of stuff trying to justify the inacurracy of your initial statement. When Collision was on with CM Punk it had a very different feel than Dynamite had. NOBODY said they watch AEW and Collision. Instead of just admitting you mistyped/misspoke made a mistake you double down on nothing...... I also said I don't love NJPW. Doesn't mean I never watched it. I tried it for a few years and it felt very repetitive to me so I unsubscribed from NJPW World. But even so, just stating one other company is enough to get my point across.
WWE was as repetitive as it got for YEARS towards the end of Vince's run. The DQ, roll up, ref bump, distraction finishes became a running joke among just about every fan. You saw a lot of that on Raw and SmackDown. There was no escaping it. It was horribly repetitive but you kept watching. In 2018 Vince, Linda, Stephanie and HHH all came to the ring and started Raw by apologizing to the fans for the garbage product they had been providing. They said that not me. WWE was your wrestling fix though. You will give them a pass no matter what faults they portrayed that you held/hold against other companies. I've never watched a single match from MLW, but even if I did, I most likely wouldn't post about it.
You don't have to prove to me that you watch TNA but I have to prove to you that I like WWE? I've been watching WWE/WWF since 1985. I've been a fan longer than a lot of the people on this site have been alive. Why would I spend all that time watching something I don't like? Why would I spend hundreds of hours a year watching something I don't like? Why would I spend money on merch for something I don't like? I really only even post in here because you say such outlandish things that really need to be pointed out and discussed.
"Outlandish things?" You mean like my Dynamite review that brought you in here in the first place? You were the one who compared WWE to UFC and the NBA. The fan bases are apart of all 3 of those brands. I furthered your comparison by including the fans. I even gave you an example with UFC and Pride. How is that laughable? You assume that every wrestling fan even wants to watch multiple promotions. There doesn't even need to be an "us v. them" mentality. Maybe some fans watch WWE and that satisfys them. They get what they want from that one product and they don't want or need to watch anything else. Hockey ratings in Canada this past playoffs. Five million Canadians watched the Leafs play a game 7 against the Bruins in the 1st round. The Leafs draw 5 million but game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals only drew 7.5 million fans. Are there only 2.5 million hockey fans outside of Toronto fans? Of course not. So where did the fans go? The answer is simple. Many Leafs fans are a lot like many WWE fans. They are Leafs fans first and hockey fans second. As soon as the Leafs are eliminated from the playoffs a lot Leafs fans stop watching hockey. Edmonton vs Florida isn't important because it's not Toronto. You have 80% of the Blue and White fan base turn off the TV when the Leafs are toast. I live in Toronto. I'm surrounded by these kinds of fans. They exist. You're really getting hung up trying to pretend they don't. Are you old enough to remember Backstreet Boys and N'Sync fans hating each other? Are you old enough to remember Britney Spears and Christina Aguilara fans hating each other? Why did they have heat? Because as fans of one they felt like they couldn't be fans of the other. There can only be one. It's a thing. It's prevalent with WWE fans. You can keep denying all the examples I'm giving you, but they're real and they're there. They may not even know AEW exists. That should be ok. But to you it is not. You look down on those people for not being "cultured" in their wrestling. "Cultured in wrestling?" I watch AEW and WWE. Does that make me, "cultured in wrestling?" What are you even talking about now? You say these fans are not wrestling fans. My point is they are. Just because they watch only WWE doesn't mean they aren't wrestling fans. I don't care if they hate AEW, ignore AEW, or don't know it is a thing. A WWE exclusive fan is still a wrestling fan. You don't need to watch AEW or any other company to gain that "status." And you're going on about nothing again. "Status?" What kind of AEW fan do you think I am? Who do you have me confused with? It's this simple. CM Punk was the BIGGEST STAR not in wrestling. Loved by WWE fans. They chanted his name every week for years after he was gone. All those WWE fans wanted was a chance to see CM Punk again. And then CM Punk made his return................ In AEW. Where were the WWE fans? A couple of hundred thousand were willing to glide over and watch AEW. Where were the other 1.5 or so million? Were they ALL too busy on a Wednesday night to watch Dynamite? They were ALL too tired after a loooooong week to check him out on Rampage? They were ALL out painting the the town on Saturday nights and couldn't catch Collision? Or did a massive portion just refuse to watch their dream come true because it wasn't coming true in a WWE ring? Where were all those WWE CM Punk fans when he was in AEW? It's an excellent metric to use because of Punk's popularity, status, and amount of time he was gone. So where were they? If you only watch AEW and nothing else (which I'd gather is rare since no one really watches this product), are you a wrestling fan? Or are you only an AEW fan? Most AEW fans are all around wrestling fans. That's common knowledge. It's the reason why Tony Khan has these "Forbidden Door" possibilities. His fan base knows more about the indies, CMLL, NJPW, Stradom etc. AEW has more fans of that nature than WWE. I am not one of those people. I'm a (minority) WWE fan who branched out and started watching AEW. I'll ask again, if Kenny Omega/Adam Page/Orange Cassidy showed up on Raw how many people watching would know who they are? Is there ANYONE in WWE who could show up on Dynamite that AEW fans wouldn't know? Lastly, I don't spend time in the RAW threads as I stated above, but I never said you didn't post there. I said you don't have anything nice to say in there. Which was never disproven. You talk negatively about both companies, but you don't (or let me say VERY rarely because you might have done it once in your life) complement or praise WWE.
The Hurt Business was the best thing going during the Pandemic. I like the Judgement Day. I (apparently) am one of the few people who still like Damien Priest. There was a "who will be better" scenario between Hook and Dom a few years back. Dom has won it HANDS DOWN. I think Bron Breakker is a beast. I like Bronson Reed and have said over and over that his top rope splash is the best I've ever seen in wresting. Chad Gable is awesome. His story with Alpha Academy has been everything wrestling should be. The Sami-Bloodline stuff was GOLD. Drew's new character direction is the best work of his career. My greatest wrestling moment was standing there at the SkyDome watching the Toronto fans turn on The Rock and cheer for Hulk Hogan. My greatest wrestling memory as a child was Hulk Hogan giving me a "thumbs up" from his car/truck. I have hours upon hours of VHS tapes filled with WWF/WWE shows that I sat and taped. And on and on and on. With a couple of generic searches I came up with, You keep saying that I'm "generalizing" yet you're the one telling me what my thoughts are about WWE while admitting you don't even read the threads. I have no bias against WWE. I simply point out what I see and back it up with examples and facts. I have done that repeatedly here. I do the same with AEW when AEW fans call me a WWE mark. I really only even post in here because you say such outlandish things that really need to be pointed out and discussed. Your bias against me is right there for you to see, which is funny because I don't even know who you are? The fact that you got this worked up over a Dynamite review is quite telling. Nothing I say no matter how logical or fact based with evidence to back it up is going to appease you. I enjoy discussion though (the creator of the message board is sitting happily at his desk somewhere) so by all means come on back and we'll keep doing this. Maybe this time when you come back you'll finally explain how those toy reviewers are using the site as their own personal notebook?

They chanted his name for every week for years after he was gone.
I’m sorry. I tried reading this, got to the part where you compared NXT (Black and Gold) to Collision and had to stop. Collision is like Smackdown - still part of the main roster. NXT Black and Gold very much felt like its own thing, separate from WWEs main roster. And had its own writers. And had its own PLEs (still does mind you). But for some reason you can’t seem to understand that. You seem to have put a lot of time and effort in the rest of your response but I can’t be bothered anymore. I can clearly see the type of person I am dealing with and I’m not going to further waste my time. Thank you and have a great day.

Collision was different than Dynamite and ZERO people claimed it was its own entity outside of AEW. Your example fell flatter than a Damian Priest Step Up Suicide Dive over the top rope in Scotland. Not my fault. You seem to have put a lot of time and effort in the rest of your response but I can’t be bothered anymore. So you're not going to explain to me how toy reviewers on here are using the site as their own personal notebook? I can clearly see the type of person I am dealing with and I’m not going to further waste my time. You already admitted to having some kind of issue with me. Now you're pretending this is the first time you've ever met me? Strange, yet, expected. Thank you and have a great day.
You too.

You too. Never said it was “outside” WWE. I said it was under the same umbrella, but had a totally different feel. NXT Black & Gold was different enough from the main roster WWE product that it felt like a separate company. I don’t know how else to explain that. NXT Black & Gold was not to RAW and SmackDown as Collision is to Dynamite. That’s a fact.

Oh look. You said said you "couldn't be bothered anymore" and then contradicted yourself by coming back to further the discussion............... Never said it was “outside” WWE. I said it was under the same umbrella, but had a totally different feel. NXT Black & Gold was different enough from the main roster WWE product that it felt like a separate company. I don’t know how else to explain that.
You don't have to explain it. You already said, You listed 5 shows as though they were all their own separate thing. Those are your own words. You talk about me contradicting myself (while actually pointing out zero examples) and then contradict yourself again by claiming you said NXT was apart of WWE. See in bold there? THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID. I watch MLB, and the Yankees......... That make no sense. I eat chocolate bars, and Oh Henry bars............ That makes no sense. I play video games, and Grand Theft Auto.............. That makes no sense. I watch WWE, and NXT....... THAT MAKES NO SENSE. NXT Black & Gold was not to RAW and SmackDown as Collision is to Dynamite. That’s a fact. But you've got all the facts surrounding a show you admit you don't even watch. The same way you had all the facts on me not liking WWE based on the threads you admitted you don't even read..................

I feel it should be "pointed out and discussed."
