I'm not too into NBA games, as I haven't bought one since 2002 or so, but I really want a new basketball game. I might get College Hoops 2k8, but I also want an NBA one. Is NBA 2k8 the best for 360, or something else?

nba 2k8 and college hoops 2k8 are great...the ea games suck

I prefer the EA games ten fold over the 2K games personally.

Being a diehard basketball fan and I play 360. I would say NBA 2k8 is way better. I have Live '08 as well but 2k8 is so much better. You have to work for your points. It's not like easy fast breaks every time. Don't get me wrong. Once you get really good and have a team that is run and gun you can do that stuff. But it gives you more of an opportunity to play a realistic basketball game. And if you are into franchise modes NBA 2k8 offers the best one.

The gameplay in the EA games, to me, feels too sluggish and glitch filled. A year or two ago, you could score every time by flicking the right joy stick to plow through anybody in the paint.

^ Right! How unrealistic is that. I was shooting 90% for the whole team. Don't get me wrong I want to score but not that way. I want to feel like I actually did something.
