I like ROH and all but itβs not worth $10 million, and itβs damn sure not worth $40 million. The big thing lately has been owning content rights for streaming services. These big companies with streaming platforms have been buying up content for insane money lately. The thing about the WCW deal in 2001 is that no one saw value in having a vast tape library yet. They thought maybe they'd make some good money on owning the footage for some DVD releases, but never imagined what its turned into today.Β ROH has a really incredible archive of footage. They have thousands of hours of PPVs and recorded house shows and television episodes. And a lot of it features the rookie years of some of the biggest stars in wrestling -- the early days of CM Punk, Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson, Seth Rollins, etc etc etc.Β I don't know what media deals look like at all but that might not be such a crazy price considering the ways that collecting content has become so lucrative for a lot of businesses. I still think that number is insane. I might be wrong, but if/when AEW released a streaming service, I donβt think the ROH library will be a make or break for subscribers at all.

Not my money nor my call to make but even at 10 million, a tape library and a few belts is not a good investment IMO.

I wonder if Mama Bella will give Johnny Ace the boot?

I wonder if Mama Bella will give Johnny Ace the boot? If you piece together the timeline a bit, the Johnny Ace affair was happening within a few months of Mamma Bella's brain surgery, or maybe even during. That's really vile if the affair truly took place around 12-14 months ago and she in-fact had that emergency operation done last June.

β¦.youβre telling me TK spent nearly $40 million on ROH? That's just a rumor, and likely an inaccurate one. I think the actual sale price was probably closer to $10 million. Still more than WCW was. So we just make up our own price instead?

The ref that accused him of S.A. in the 80s has been coming to light again. I dunno why people are acting like it's brand new information these accusations were made a loooong time ago they're just resurfacing. Maybe they will get taken more seriously this time? Hopefully at least.

Wall Street Journal reporting another $12 million in hush money to four additional women. I'm really curious how much he's actually paid over the years. The whole article is behind a pay wall, but I didn't see any indication that any of it was company money so no shareholder conflicts this time.

Since this is about "wrasslin'", this won't make major headlines ... which would destroy him. But hopefully this one is enough to where we never hear of or see him ever again.

The three NDAβs about him paying them off to not discuss a sexual relationship wonβt hurt him. The one of the four about it being a wwe employee that was not giving into his advances and he sent her naked pics and videos and him paying her off to avoid a sexual harassment lawsuit is the one that could actually get him in some sort of trouble with investors.

The article says a former wrestler who was not renewed in 2005. Any guesses?
Didn't Stacy Keibler leave in 2005? WWE didn't have a lot of women in that era and a lot of them who were signed were held on to past 2005.

Itβs just a wait and see approach if investors and advertisers have any say in this and it effects the bottom line. If not, even though itβs very scummy what he has done, i donβt see them doing anything about it. Like others have mentioned, itβs just wrasslinβ.

WWE didn't have a lot of women in that era and a lot of them who were signed were held on to past 2005. The other four women released in 2005 were Jackie Gayda, Dawn Marie, Molly Holly, and Christy Hemme Molly Holly is back with the company so count her out. Dawn Marie wrestled until April, then left in July because she was pregnant. She said she left WWE because her child-- that story kind of checks out so I might count her out. Jackie married Charlie Haas in 2005 and he stayed with the company through 2009. Seems like a conflict of interest to be contracted by the WWE while having a wife who was paid off for sex with the boss, but I guess its not 100% doubtful. So I guess Stacy is possible but I am sort of leaning Christy Hemme. Her run was so short and she was a popular talent and decent in the ring. Seems odd she would leave just to stay in wrestling and go to TNA. She was also demoted to OVW before getting fired. Kind of rare in this era to move talent down like that. Maybe they wanted to keep a tab on her while it played out without her being on the road? I am totally speculating all of this.

The wall Street Journal article mentioned the talent being demoted first, so Hemme would fit that description best.

Heβs gotta go. All these years of just being a terrible person have to catch up to him. I love his product but no one should be put through what heβs put so many women through.

Yep he's been human garbage for years, glad it's finally starting to catch up with him. The company will be so much better off. NGL even if they proceeded to put out absolute garbage after he goes, I'd gladly start watching again just to reinforce it being the correct decision..

Man this article about Vince saying "F**k em" when asked about the allegations has to be the best read I've had all week. About time somebody tells this cancel culture where to stuff it. Gotta stick to your guns, because it ain't over til Mickie James starts singing.
