Biography
It is evident through his Hall of Fame status in both the WFWF and XWA and World Championships across four different promotions throughout his near-twelve years as an active competitor that Alex Sean's career can not be easily summarized. No matter where he went, Sean was as formidable as he was controversial as he was respected as he was hated. What all can agree on is throughout his entire career, no matter where he went, Alex Sean made an impact, perhaps none moreso than the WFWF. Over a period of nine years, Alex Sean would serve as the catalyst for some of the federation's most iconic stories, events, and matches. In that time he led the definitive faction of the WFWF in The Anointed and main evented SuperBrawl a record three times; A number that was only later equalled but never surpassed.
Sean's WFWF career would eventually come to a bitter and solemn end. Through the machinations of WFWF President King Kraig, Sean was betrayed by his longtime friend and ally EBR and in the process defeated for the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship only minutes after reclaiming it. For the next several months Sean would be the target of an all-out war by Kraig and EBR concluding at SuperBrawl where a clearly shopworn Alex Sean was defeated in decisive fashion by EBR. What seemed poise to be a tale of good triumphing over evil was instead the final, bitter note of his time in the WFWF.
He would reemerge nearly two years later in the XWA by attacking then XWA Champion Trace Demon after his victory in the main event of Legends; The company's premier annual event. He did so backed up by his longtime ally DGX and, shockingly, EBR. Many questioned how Sean could align himself with such a bitter foe. It became clear that something had broken in Alex Sean. Though historically a man of deep principles even if they didn't necessarily line up with the world's, Sean has eschewed any concepts of honor, anything resembling a code and had resolved to enact whatever plan it took to achieve his goal of winning the XWA World Heavyweight Championship. In a sense, Sean had become the very man his detractors had always accused him of being.
Alex Sean would go on to win the XWA World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Trace Demon with the assistance of none other than King Kraig by throwing a fireball in the champion's face. His reign would ultimately be short-lived as only a couple of months later he was bested by longtime rival Angelus; In a bit of karmic justice due to a fireball. Sean has not been in active competition since until making his shocking return at the WFWF Ascension Tour 2022 Press Conference. Nobody knows what the future holds for this legendary competitor. His best years clearly behind him and seen by many as a broken, bitter man, many wonder what exactly Alex Sean in 2022 has to offer to active competition. With the WFWF Ascension Tour 2022 set to begin in June, fortunately, we won't have to wait long to find out.
In-Ring Style
Alex Sean was known in his prime as a pioneer who was one of the first to integrate Mixed Martial Arts into professional wrestling. By utilizing the grappling and submissions of BJJ, versatile strikes of Muay Thai, and impactful takedowns and throws of freestyle wrestling Sean was as formidable as he was unorthodox in a world mostly occupied by more traditional professional wrestlers. This was not without its downsides as his neglect of catch-as-catch-can fundamentals often left him ill-equipped against proficient technical grapplers. Often being disadvantaged in such a way would ignite Sean's notoriously volatile temper leading him to make substantial mistakes and further exasperating the situation.
It was clear, however, after Sean's decisive loss to EBR at SuperBrawl VII and his subsequent run in 2013 in the XWA that his prime years had passed him by. Sean was no longer a swift and clever counter-fighter with high velocity offense but a slower, clumsier, easily exhausted, visibly aging competitor; Factors that both further exasperated and were exasperated by his notoriously poor temperament. It became clear the calculation of Sean's in-ring performance was such that while he still possessed as hard-hitting of strikes and as effective of submissions as anyone in the sport, the odds of him catching ahold of his opponents diminished greatly.
As a result Sean filled these gaps in his technique and athleticism with flagrant violation of the rules, often involving the assistance of his hype man Bullseye at ringside. After nine years away from in-ring competition, one can only speculate what kind of condition Sean will be in upon his return and what, if any, threat he poses to the upper echelon of the WFWF in the modern age.
Personality
A deadly serious and often sardonic individual, Alex Sean's disposition would be generously described as divisive. For some, Alex Sean is respected as a man of high intelligence, quick wit, and an enthralling command of language capable of skewering any opponent as well as enlisting any ally. To others, he is seen as manipulative and conniving; a man who speaks of principles and grand purposes that are all ultimately a means to his selfish ends. Still, on occasion, Sean is not without instances of exuberance that offer a small glimpse to his younger, less cynical self unwearied by the rigors of professional wrestling. Peculiarly, the Alex Sean seen upon his return at the WFWF Ascension Tour 2022 Press Conference resembles very little of the man described above and instead something more akin to... a man who is happy to be included. Sean seems to be lacking his silver tongue and biting wit. As to whether this change is merely a temporary byproduct of a return to the limelight or more reflective of a broader change, only time will tell.

APPEARANCE
Current Pic-Base
James Purefoy (Present Day)
For years, Sean kept his hair buzzed short however since his return he appears to have allowed it to grow out slightly; Less a stylistic choice and seemingly more due to a lack of maintenance. His hair has lightened due to the streaks of gray throughout and, if viewed from above, is visibly thinning. His face has aged as well with the lines of his face etched deep in his features. He also possesses a visible burn scar on the right side of his face along the cheekbone and outer eye socket due to the fireball received from Angelus. Sean's body has the clear look and build of an aging fighter. Lighter and a hair shorter than he was in his prime years, Sean carries slightly more softness in his mid-section and slightly less muscle on his frame. He is adorned with a visible scar on his belly; The kind of ugly scar caused from a jagged wound courtesy of a spearhead by EBR.
Ring Attire
In-Ring Wardrobe
Alex Sean wears MMA-style board shorts with essentially the same design as the Venum "Jaws" shorts as pictured above. While Sean's attire design remains the same, he will often brandish different color combinations; Particularly ones that match the different uniforms of the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles. He will often, when teaming with longtime partner DGX, wear matching colors which tend to reflect the Rated X color scheme of red, black, gold, and white.
Protective Gear
Sean wears a mouth guard adorned with the jagged, shark-like fangs as pictured above. This was, when Sean began wearing fang mouth guards, not a thing that every nine year old did for Soccer practice but instead was at least still a little cool. At this point, this is basically the mouth guard he owns. Additionally, Sean wears plain, black grappling gloves as pictured above. The distinction between these gloves and more traditional, MMA 4 oz gloves is less padding which affords for more flexibility and grip for the hands which is vital in a wrestling context. Sean also wears plain, black knee pads. Finally, Sean wears wrestling shoes similar to what is pictured above though not adorned with any branding. These shoes will match whatever color combination Sean is wearing for his shorts with the black reflecting the primary color of the shorts and the white the secondary.
Entrance Attire
Alex Sean enters the ring wearing a hoodie with thumb holes as pictured above. Similar to his shoes, this hoodie will match the primary color of the shorts he is wearing.
RING ENTRANCE
Entrance Music
"Monster"
by Kanye West ft. Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver
Entrance Description
The opening vocal chorus of "Monster" by Kanye West resounds over the soundspeakers. Just as the opening line completes "I shoot the lights out", on cue, the arena lights cut off entirely leaving only a pulsating red spectrogram on the center of the Extreme-O-Tron to illuminate the building. A panicked scream is heard followed by the opening verse of Rick Ross cueing Alex Sean's personal hype man Bullseye to step out onto the stage and begin his introduction. As Bullseye introduces Alex Sean, typically a monster, either being a man in a suit or elaborate prop, approaches the stage from the side, the monster of choice reflecting Sean's opponent in the match. Kanye West's initial chorus thumps through the speakers and Alex Sean steps out onto the stage. After hopping in place for the opening section of West's verse, rapping along to the words, he finally breaks from his self-indulgent trance and proceeds toward the ramp however not before somehow vanquishing the monster that joins him on the stage. Sean quickly walks toward the ring, stopping to hop in place at the ring steps, then ascends up to the apron and moves to the corner post to his right. Just as the chorus kicks in, Sean steps up onto the ropes from the outside and plants one leg on the second rope and the other on the top turnbuckle resting his elbows on his knee and scanning the thousands of fans in attendance. Finally, Sean grabs ahold of the top rope with both hands and hops over, crouching in the corner in preparation for his match.
FINISHING MOVES
Primary Finisher
Charging Lariat
Sean perches in the corner while his opponent is down, lining up his move similarly to the way Goldberg/Edge set-up the Spear. As his opponent reaches their feet, Sean charges toward them and connects with a Left Arm Lariat throwing his entire body into it to such a degree that Sean will traditionally leave his feet upon impact and launch several feet past his opponent. If Sean has the time to deliver the full Charging Lariat, it's almost always a sure win, however while Sean is fully able to land his Left-Arm Lariat on the drop of a dime, it has less of an impact and thus is more likely that his opponent kicks out of the move.
Secondary Finisher
Quoth the Ravens
To view a video explaining this technique, click the text above. This is a technique commonly referred to as the "Anaconda Choke" which is an indirect blood choke thus usually taking anywhere from 15 to 30 seconds to render an opponent unconscious if applied correctly. If applied incorrectly, it serves as a painful neck crank, something which at times Sean has chosen to do to force his opponent to submit rather than go to sleep.
Specialty Finisher
Bolt of Blazing Gold
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. This is Alex Sean's ultimate kill-move to which in the eight-plus years Sean has used it, only one person has ever managed to kick out of. With that said, due to Sean's smaller size and change in style, it's grown increasingly uncommon throughout the years. As an OOC note, I'd ask anyone not to use this move in writing a match against Sean unless given my blessing or if you intend to use it to defeat your character.
TRADEMARK MOVES
01
Charm City Circulator
Serving as Sean's primary and most devastating trademark attack, the Charm City Circulator is a combination of three moves strung together in quick succession. Sean will set his opponent in a Russian Leg-Sweep position then drive them forward chest-first onto his knee. He follows this by turning himself toward his bent opponent, grabbing them in a high-crotch and around the near-side trapezoid, hoists them up and slams them down with a Gut-Buster. Finally, Sean turns once again, this time into the position of a Belly-to-Back Suplex, lifts them in the air, and at the peak of their height, turns into them and slams them down with a Belly-to-Belly Slam.
02
The Ray Lewis
Sean's second notable combination attack, this move begins where Sean will line himself up behind his opponent as they near a corner, rush toward them, and connect with a Flying Knee to the middle of their spine ala Randy Savage. As their opponent collides chest-first with the turnbuckles and stumbles backward, Sean runs past them and leaps with one foot to the second turnbuckle slightly turning as he does so. Sean kicks off the buckle, completing what amounts to a 180 Degree turn and grabs ahold of his stunned opponent's head similar to a DDT. Just as he makes contact, Sean continues his momentum propelling himself forward while maintaining his grip on their head causing them to essentially perform a forward flip and land in what amounts to a flipping neckbreaker.
03
Wayne Brady Special
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. This move, as pictured, almost certainly will be used against a running opponent be it do to Sean initiating an Irish Whip or them rushing toward him offensively. Regardless, as the nature of the move effectively uses their own momentum against them, it is almost unheard of that Sean would use this against a stationary target.
04
Omar Comin' (1 - 2)
To view animations of the attacks in this combination, click the numbered text above. This is the third of Sean's trademark combination attacks. This move begins with Sean landing a left knee directly to the liver section of his opponent and snapping their head down bringing them to all fours. As his opponent drops, Sean rushes the ropes directly to the side of his opponent, bounces off, and as he rebounds comes down with a 12-to-6 Elbow Strike to the base of their spine.
05
B.B.T. (B*tches Be Trippin')
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. Very simply, this move is an Arm-Trap Belly-to-Belly Trip. Most commonly, Sean will use this against a running opponent be it through executing an Irish Whip of his own or as a counter to a running attack, however Sean at times will use this against a stationary target albeit with less impact.
UNCOMMON MOVES
01
Brain-Buster
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. This move is a traditional Brain-Buster and as a result of Sean's smaller size, is generally uncommon against larger opponents. Sean will, however, threaten with this attack to misdirect his opponent leading to either a Snap-Down, or an Inside Cradle, both of which can lead into the Quoth the Ravens.
02
Fisherman's Slam
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. This is an older but longtime move from Sean's arsenal. Unlike the animated gif above, Sean would set this up more similarly to Curt Hennig's "Perfect Plex" by taking a deep step between his opponent's leg to position himself well underneath their center of gravity. From there, Sean lowers his hips than stands and, using the momentum of squatting his opponent off the mat, pivots them onto his shoulders. Unlike the animated gif, Sean does not pause once his opponent is on his shoulders but rather almost immediately falls backward and slams them to the mat. Between being a move requiring a lift and thus substantial physical exertion and set-up as well as involving taking a fall while delivering one, this move is only likely to appear periodically and in an opportune context.
03
The Heartbreaker
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. Alex Sean's original finishing move, this is very simply a Scorpion Death Drop or a Reverse DDT. The key thing to note is while most reverse DDTs amount to one grabbing their opponent and dropping to their rear, similar to the Scorpion Death Drop, Sean throws himself completely backward thus arching his opponent's back and increasing the rotation in which his opponent's head collides with the mat.
04
Half-Nelson Suplex
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. Very simply, a Half-Nelson Suplex. While at one time this was one of Sean's trademark attacks, with Sean's smaller frame, it has grown increasingly uncommon over the years and would most likely only be used against smaller or similarly sized opponents.
05
Moonsault
To view an animation of this move, click the text above. This is your standard top-rope Moonsault, performed similarly to Keiji Mutoh's in that it is more of a sudden thrust backward than involving much of a spring off of the top turnbuckle. One thing of note is that historically Alex Sean called this move the "Alexxasault" which isn't really that relevant other than to note how bad his taste in move names was at the time.
