“According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average hourly wage of United States citizens as of December 2020 is $29.81” So It’s (on average) 2.5 hrs worth of work or $15 off an average weekly grocery spend With the rising cost of all essentials (food, fuel etc) you fo wonder how well things like this will do in this marketplace Genuinely - how many people do you know making $30 an hour at their job? Not making fun of you, just curious. I'd wager that figure you listed is skewed by astronomically high-wage CEO types being factored in with the millions of people working for minimum wage or less. As for these figures, they look great. Better than series 1 for sure. I would have considered them, but I don't think $75 is worth it to me personally. I'm happy with my first series, despite some nit picks I have. Besides, Super7 is getting plenty of money from me with TMNT and Godzilla, so I've gotta pick and choose how I spend. I average about $30 an hour and it’s considerably more than a lot of people I know make. So yeah those numbers are very much off. The figures themselves look good, but they aren’t for me. If I ever start an NWA Champions shelf, I may pick up the Cardona.

If these figures were as good as Storm then MAYBE I could justify that price point, but yeah Super7 has been way too hit or miss for me to justify spending that much on The Major Bros.

I would best most of them don't pull in 20 either.

$75 for an action figure is pretty insane but I’m sure the diehards will bankrupt themselves to buy them “According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average hourly wage of United States citizens as of December 2020 is $29.81” So It’s (on average) 2.5 hrs worth of work or $15 off an average weekly grocery spend With the rising cost of all essentials (food, fuel etc) you fo wonder how well things like this will do in this marketplace Lol that number is nowhere near accurate and even less so because of inflation. Not saying that you didnt get it form where you did, just that it's not correct in the same way that the inflation and unemployment numbers aren't either.

Yeah we established either it’s wrong or it’s those on mega salaries bumping up the average…either way blame google 😆

I love Matt and Brian, but I'm curious to see if they address the issues with the NJPW/GB/Major Pod figures looking nothing like the prototypes, in particular Gallows having a completely botched tattoo on the right arm. Or if it's going to be a giant Super7 suck fest where there's some Olympic level mental gymnastics to dismiss any criticism like Super7 did when people mentioned their issues with the articulation being behind $20 to $30 figures.
Edit: They confirm that these Major Pod figs are using the same heads but with significantly improved paint.
They do in fact address the Gallows tattoo issue as well as confirm that the second set of Good Brothers figures will not be $75.
It's confirmed that the NJPW line is done. They're looking to turn what would have been Wave 3 into independent releases of the wrestlers. "3 out of 4 seem very receptive"

"3 out of 4 seem very receptive" They discussed it, but much in the same way they did with power town For weeks they hammered power town but on a call ask one question, get a half assed answer snd accept it They talk the good talk on the pod but then when face to face water down their challenges Also they talk about us like we’re stupid / r.e. The paint also “it’s news to even me so it must be for other people” is a paraphrased quote from Matt. There’s countless YouTube channels talking about toys - one notable one from someone who’s worked at major toy companies, we know more paint apps = more cost, we’re not dummies

We're not morons, we've placed pre orders that take money up front for years, especially considering the majority of their fanbase.

They're looking to turn what would have been Wave 3 into independent releases of the wrestlers. "3 out of 4 seem very receptive" I have to check this video out. I like Brian Flynn, whether you like his approach to figures or not, the guy is usually very articulate and interesting to listen to. That said, in general I like Super7. Looking at some of their recent releases, the argument is definitely there that they could be overpriced for what they are, based on what people constantly compare them to (“they cost twice as much as figures with more articulation,” etc). The pinless aesthetic and stylization works for me, but is not gonna be everyone’s thing. He’s up there with Randy Falk and Todd McFarlane, basically just doing the figures he wants to do in his own way. All three companies have their share of critics, but Flynn in particular seems more than okay with saying “hey, this is MY version of this character. I know some people would rather have a different version.”

I think cos he only collects wrestling (with the odd starting line up type retro sports figure) he doesn’t consider many wrestling figure fans also have turtles, Star Wars, other franchises / products with pre order. He also seems obsessed with rsc, it’s always his go to. I get it’s close for him but for others their postage (not their fault I know) make it expensive snd prople go elsewhere

And speaking of Ringside, they’re pretty much holding the strong lead on wrestling figure online sales over Big Bad or Entertainment Earth, I would imagine. I’m pretty sure Ringside being a sponsor of theirs probably doesn’t hurt haha. *EDIT* just remembered you’re in the UK, so the shipping prices may very well still be atrocious for you.

As a UK customer, RSC shipping has gotten a lot better/cheaper if you use their budget option.

Does the video explain why Brian's figure is $75 too?

Does the video explain why Brian's figure is $75 too? They try to justify it by explaining how his vest is painted as if it's some super duper expensive technique that no other toy company uses.

Does the video explain why Brian's figure is $75 too? They try to spin it saying the flames are super hard to do but we know it’s to make up for the cost of Matt’s figure.

I've never understood the attraction to Myers and Cardona, be it as wrestling gimmicks or toy collectors.

I like these versions better than the first ones, but I'm definitely playing the long game for these. $75 each is out of my price range, but I do want them eventually.

I like a good amount of the wrestling stuff Super 7 put out, but none of it has been perfect. NJPW series 2 was a noticable improvment over series 1, its a shame the title belts came out wrong and the robes on EVIL dyed the plastic. Matt Cardona and Karl Anderson's figures came out ok & Myers looks fine from the neck down. It's Gallows who turned out to be the real disapointment. Wrong tattoos, a singlet top that got turned into a vest and the missing beard tip (which they did ship out later).
After watching the video the $75 price point seems justified a bit for Matt (not so much for Brian) because of all of the hand painted bits. Selfishly, I would have preffered his Macho Man inspired King of the Deathmatch gear or even the gear he wore in his match against Nick Gage. I'm probably more invested in the potential NJPW series 3 guys & a better Gallowsthey have planned to release in a new line than these new Matt & Brian figures. But, if they turn out ok and I have some extra money during a ringside sale, maybe I'll scoop them up.

It still doesn't look like them. They look great from the neck down, though.

Just saw these are shipping in late October. With the PowerTown versions being announced and the extremely high price point, I’m really interested to see how these do. Also, after the super7 Andre fiasco, I wonder how these come out.
