Earl Hebner: I have to pick Earl! He was a part of so many matches that I love!
Joey Morella: I have to be honest and say that he never did anything that sticks out in my memory, but I love the way Jesse would always rip on him, clearly to try and get a rise out of Gorilla Monsoon!
Charles Robinson: No matter if it was in WCW or now WWE, he is one of the referees that never gets in the way and just does a damn good job.
Tim White: I feel like he was such a big part of the Attitude Era that I had to include him.

Earl Hebner was a great character and presence in matches. As an actual referee only, he was either on par with others like Tim White, Mike Chioda... but his near fall counts were absolutely atrocious.
So he's massively overrated.

One thing I didn't like with Hebner, and also Nick Patrick, was that they severely altered their count going from 2 to 3 on near falls.
