The rumor is that next year we will see some FTIL figures from the Golden Era. If you could pick 5 realistic options from the 84 to 90 WWF who would you pick?? When I say realistic I mean someone that would be possible, someone like Dynamite Kid would not be possible in my opinion. My buddy from the toy shop keeps saying that Hercules is coming so he is my main prediction.

I was at my buddy's toy shop and he had one Hercules mint in box marked for 70 bucks. As we were talking some guy asked if he could see so my buddy says sure and hands him the box, while that guy is looking at the figure another dude walks up and says I will give you 90 for it as the other guy was still checking the figure out LOL So the other guys says I will give you 95 lol and all of a sund a bidding war breaks out, long story short the dude that walked in bought the figure for 160 bucks! lol Any of you guys see anything crazy like this in regard to WWE Mattel figures and I'm not talking about the insane prices on ebay lol.

Koko B Ware Mr Fuji Ken Patera Corporal Kirchner Dory Funk jr.
I have chosen these legends because they haven't been announced by Zombie Sailor or Chella, so it could be possible that some of them are under legends deals.
Headshrinker Samu, Eric Bischoff and Peter Maivia should also be possible for future figs. Samu signed a deal earlier this year and the other 2 are featured in recent games (WWE Champions android game, Bischoff WWE 2k22)

It could be the following Haku Barbarian Koko Zeus Skinner Butch Reed S.d. Jones Jesse Ventura Ernie Ladd Lou albano Mountie Giant Gonzalez Killer Kowalski Bad news brown Tony atlas Repo man One man gang Slick Headshrinkers Steiner bros Mr Fuji Brother love Adrian Adonis Ken Patera Corporal Kirchner Billy jack Haynes Outback jack Ted arcidi Terry Gordy Ron bass Vince sr Johnny rodz Missing Link Rougeau Bros Killer bees
Unless they throw a curveball and somehow they got some super obscure names signed to deals like Mike Sharp Tim horner Paul Roma Sato Pat Tanaka Boris zukhov Barry Horowitz Rene Goulet Jim powers Sam Houston George Wells Scott Casey Tony garea Black Bart Barry O Salvatore bellomo Moondogs buzz Sawyer Sean Mooney Lord Alfred hayes
I'd say probably Haku Barbarian Koko Zeus Skinner Brother love Mr Fuji

Some strong possibilities, IMO...
Previously prototyped: Koko B. Ware One Man Gang...I forget does he count as FTITL?
Tag partners who had a recent figure release: Barbarian Dynamite Kid Tony Atlas
Frequently on peoples wishlists: Hercules Mr. Fuji

So wouldn’t be a FTITL

I always get my hopes up with this before sdcc. I have been positive we would get all of these guys every big reveal and it ends up being the Goon and chief Jay that never even gets released. Lol
In my why not list: Haku Captain Lou Zeus Cyndi Lauper Koko B Ware Brother Love Mr Fuji

I think the Steiners will be a possibility or will be in the near future. I don’t think Hercules happens anytime soon. It being you, I’m sure everyone is wise enough not to believe anything you post. Think Koko would be fun. Barbarian is definitely needed.
I just hope, and know it won’t happen, that we don’t get a ton of complaining when SDCC hits and it’s not a lot of FTIL figures. I’m sure there will be a few but thinking the will all be from a specific era seems unrealistic.

The only guys I’d want from that era would be the Steiners. I’m more interested in the mid to late 90’s roster.

Mattel is really becoming irreverent when it comes to old school legends figures. We got these other companies that are literally picking up the ball that mattel has been fumbling for years. So now we got a new company making Lout Thesz, Magnum TA, Stan Hansen, Ted DiBiase, Kerry Von Erich, and Verne Gagne figures. We got another one company making figures of a bunch of others mattel has never made before that i can't even list all of them off. People been asking mattel for years to make a figure of (insert name here) and nothing happens. Mattel is old and slow and probably won't be around in 10-20 years. These new companies are cutting through that "they have to be a wwe legends deal before we can make a figure of them bull" and just making deals with people to get figures made and i love it.

But if those figures you named, who is gonna want them? It’s like aew making old school figures that was way before they were known, the attires are useless with what mattel makes era wise. Mattel uses the “we only make what we can “ excuse. But it’s a known fact a lot of these figures not made was because they just weren’t made when they had the chance . Instead of putting out 200 Cena’s, Mysterio’s, Reigns, Rollins you do the attires people want, the ones that people remember. Like Hogan, let’s do American Made before NWO, ended up waiting serveral years for that. Jericho, not 1 WCW figure. Sting 2 bad rushed surfer stings. The list could go on, but I’m sure we all already know this. Mattel opens up new stuff (Ultimate Edition) just to make repainting figures cool again. You’ll get 2 FTITL figures each year .

Mattel WWE is still primarily a children's toyline. If they made Lou Thesz or Stan Hansen figures for mass retail in today's environment, they wont be around in 10-20 months.

wholefnshow420 how long have you and others been making it crystal clear with your long wish list of wrestlers you want figures of ? Well i am 99% sure mattel will not make most of those. But now we have real hope because of these 2 new toy companies i mentioned before actually making figures of past legends. There was another dude on this forum that had a picture on his profile of past world champions with red X marks on them when mattel finally made them. I think at least 2 of them from his wishlist are gonna get made now from this new toy company.
