WFWF World Heavyweight Championship
No Time Limit
Josh Dean vs. EBR
After a year long hiatus, it was of utmost importance for WFWF President & CEO Bobby Abadi to book a World Heavyweight Championship match which would draw attention and eyes back to the WFWF. Known for over twenty years as being in the upper echelon of the sport and once held by esteemed legends such as Frost, The Shape, Destroyer, Johnny Michaels, Michael Kyzer, Drakz, Phillip Schneider, and Wayne McGurk, the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship has been regarded as one of the most prestigious prizes in all of professional wrestling, and it was at the Ascension Tour Press Conference in which Bobby Abadi officially announced the newest chapter in that belt's long line of historic matches - Josh Dean vs. EBR.
It was at SuperBrawl XI in which Josh Dean staked his claim as the best in the world when he defeated Drakz for the World Heavyweight Championship, a man who is widely considered the greatest competitor in the history of the WFWF. After such a decisive and monumental moment in his career, Josh Dean's momentum was abruptly halted by the WFWF's financial insolvency and subsequent bankruptcy, seemingly putting an end to what his title reign could before it ever even started. That all changed with the AGE's purchase of the WFWF, and it is at Scars & Stripes when Josh Dean gets the opportunity to once again place his stamp and stranglehold on the WFWF.
Few if any men in the illustrious history of the WFWF have ever been as laser-sharp and as focused as Josh Dean since his return to the WFWF in 2020 at Survival of the Fittest V. While at times criticized for his behavior and methods in procuring said title shot against Drakz, it was a strategy which proved validated as Josh Dean called his shot and did exactly he said he would do, not only winning the World Heavyweight Championship but retiring his long time nemesis in the process. In quite the jarring contrast for a man once known for his loquacious demeanor, Josh Dean has become startlingly taciturn in the following year, opting to let his actions speak much louder than his words. It has been a trait which has become undeniably effective, perhaps best exemplified at Loaded when Josh Dean made quick, and violent work, of the debuting XYZ and, in turn, debuting his own new maneuver the Broken Mirror. Scars & Stripes provides Josh Dean with an opportunity to continue that momentum and dominance, though his challenge will surely be much greater.
If one were to make a shortlist of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the WFWF, it's a place one would find EBR. Much like Josh Dean, he is a legend who made his triumphant return to a WFWF ring in 2020 and has since proven to not only have not missed any steps, but arguably has gotten even better. While EBR's legacy was once believed to already be written, it is a legacy which by his own admittance is clouded with controversy, and one he has striven to correct. Since leaving North America in 2014 to hone his skills in Japan, EBR has vocally and unequivocally disavowed much of his past behavior and actions which have marred his career, opting to display a much more personable and respectful attitude. Indeed, it was EBR himself who proclaimed regardless what the perception of his career is, he himself sees his career to this point as failing to live up to the standard he had set for himself when he memorably and dramatically won the World Heavyweight Championship at SuperBrawl V. He aims to fix that.
At Scars & Stripes, it will be two men battling for the right to call themselves the World Heavyweight Champion. For EBR, it's the opportunity to finally establish himself as the best version of himself, literally and figuratively. For Josh Dean, it's the chance to cement his status as the best in the world.
And for the WFWF, it's just another chapter in a long line of classic and iconic World Heavyweight Championship matches.

WFWF Rumble
No Time Limit
Alex Sean ~ DAVID HANDLECATCH! ~ DGX ~ Diabolos ~ Karate Steve ~ Napoleon Weisgarber ~ Penny Shannon ~ Phillip Schneider ~ Scarlett Quinn ~ Shuggy ~ TITUS! ~ Trace Demon ~ XYZ ~ And 17 More Superstars!
The road to this year's WFWF Rumble has been an eventful one. Starting at WFWF Ascension IV, Bobby Abadi announced the inclusion of the WFWF Rumble at this year's Scars and Stripes and, just as well, that legendary superstar DGX would be entering the bout as number one. That night, DGX made clear his mission to elevate his all-time great status above all others. He vowed that at Scars and Stripes, he will last the longest, be the first man to win the Rumble entering as number one, and he will break the all-time elimination record. These are, no doubt, lofty goals, but since he made that statement DGX has gone on to not only secure the fastest win in WFWF history, but, as he saw it, rectify his loss to Trace Demon at WFWF Scars and Stripes IV, no doubt establishing himself as the favorite to win the Rumble match in the process.
With that said, if DGX is the favorite to win, Trace Demon's path to the Rumble has established him as public enemy number one. What began as a couple of tense interactions between him and Shuggy, escalated into violence when Trace Demon assaulted a fan and fellow Scot, prompting Shuggy to confront him and, in doing so, distract Trace Demon long enough to afford DGX the opportunity to secure his aforementioned victory. Trace Demon has never been one to take such a misgiving lightly and, just two weeks later at WFWF Loaded, he demonstrated that by launching a fireball at the face of WFWF.COM Correspondent and close personal friend of Shuggy's, Poppy Yates.
Since then, it's been made clear that Trace Demon's actions crossed a line with virtually everyone, and none greater than Shuggy who, after defeating Karate Steve in devastating fashion, warned Demon that if he shows his face at Scars and Stripes, he's going to regret it. This, of course, no doubt, plays into DGX's hand who was seen drumming up conflict between several WFWF superstars; Most of which are scheduled to be in the match itself. With all eyes on Trace Demon, they will not be on "The Sovereign".
No doubt, however, there are many other superstars who have much to gain from a WFWF Rumble victory. Alex Sean will be competing in his first Rumble since 2006 and, we surmise, will most certainly put on a great show for the wonderful fans in Philadelphia! Shuggy, though seemingly primarily focused on Trace Demon, would propel himself to a new level with a victory in the Rumble match. Heck, TITUS! could set himself up for a unification match between the Interstellar Crab Nebula Championship and the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship. Further, only ten individuals have been announced out of the 30 participants that will be in the match. What surprises will the WFWF Rumble have in store? There's only one way to find out!
... Which is to watch the event, btw.

WFWF Vanguard Championship
No Time Limit
Johnny Mason vs. M̴̊͐E̴̓͘S̷͑͝H̶̾̐
It finally comes down to this.
Honor versus Redemption.
When Johnny Mason last squared off against Mesh at SuperBrawl: Revenge, it wasn’t the match he was hoping for. It wasn’t the match he was hoping would define his career. Instead, he faced a shell of what used to be Mesh. A broken version of Mesh. Outside interference prevented Mason from getting the win he was yearning for and he left Wembley Stadium without his prized Vanguard Championship.
Then the WFWF went quiet, leaving The Icebreaker with a large void that went unresolved for two years.
He was left without a job, without his championship belt and without the career-defining moment.
Mesh is arguably the most popular wrestler in the WFWF. Well, at least she used to be. Ever since the traumatic head injury she suffered, she hasn't been the same. In what started out as a competitive rivalry between two world class athletes turned into a personal matter, all thanks to Mesh. She stunned everyone that once adored her when she blatantly attacked Johnny Mason unprovoked at Knuckles Up in Boston.
Now at Scars and Stripes, the talking is over. No more pointing fingers. No more accusations.
Will Mesh find some of the color that's escaped her in recent months and become the Vanguard Knight once again? Can Johnny Mason pull off the ultimate upset to prove to everyone why he's the Vanguard Champion and the future of the WFWF?

Alex Sean vs. DAVID HANDLECATCH! II
No Time Limit
Alex Sean vs. DAVID HANDLECATCH!
At WFWF Ascension IV, Alex Sean returned to a... nearly... packed... hometown crowd in the main event against the also returning DAVID HANDLECATCH!. What seemed would surely be a thoroughly entertaining contest, was soured when Alex Sean miscalculated a right hand and punched the martial arts warrior directly in the throat; A blow from which he was unable to effectively recover. Now, Alex Sean is set to finally put on the show fans were waiting for in Baltimore at WFWF Scars and Stripes when he rematches the pioneer of BURNIN' LOVE himself! HANDLECATCH! has shown in his match against EBR that he has adjusted his style to something more... measured? Let's say measured. Considering Sean's aggressive performance against Napoleon Weisgarber, this bout appears as though it will be something akin to the tortoise vs. the hare! What will happen when these two styles clash again, this time, hopefully, involving less unfortunate throat punching? Who knows, but I'm sure we'll all have a lot of fun watching the show!

POISON'S Rules Open Challenge
No Time Limit
POISON vs. Billy Broom
Perhaps no superstar in the WFWF has raised their stock more in the WFWF Ascension Tour 2022 than POISON. The masked combatant began this tour dropping an intense and highly competitive bout against Mesh and has gone on to defeat the debuting Karate Steve as well as former WFWF Tag Team Champion Ripp Jackson in another thrilling battle. Further, POISON has begun to establish a name for himself via creating his own ruleset, POISON's Rules as it were, and, beginning with Ripp Jackson at Knuckles Up in Boston, laying down an open challenge to all comers to battle him under that ruleset.
At WFWF Scars and Stripes, that open challenge will be met by the returning Billy Broom! Broom has not been seen since WFWF Animalize where he was the victim of a brutal post-match attack at the hands of WFWF International Champion Drakz. Now, he returns, just a few miles away from his hometown of Pittsburgh... I mean... 304 but who's counting... to take his chance at the surging POISON and, in the process, re-establish himself as a player in the WFWF. Likewise, for POISON, defeating Broom would arguably be the biggest win in his WFWF career and, with a win over a former WFWF Tag Team Champion, he just might be ready to do it.
