29 years ago this happened
Crush was the closest to bodyslamming Yoko
If he had, where does that lead to you think?

Crush could have slammed him easy. He did just enough to show the boys he could, without obviously ruining the whole reason they were there (Lex's push).

If he had been picked for the Summerslam PPV spot I can't see it being much worse than Lex. Lex had a big more charisma but was so out of place in WWF and the All American role. Crush lacked the charisma but was a guy some of the WWF legends and future legends liked a lot so he could have had support doing an Express tour or doing promos against Yoko. Face Crush was probably the best he ever was.

He still wouldn’t have beaten Yoko for the belt but he would have been a much funner option than that bum Luger.

It wouldve made more sense than Luger who that same weekend on Superstars was a heel as the Narcissist...

Crush was so over with the fans too in 1993. He got made fool of with Doink, he loses in an IC Title match with HBK at KOTR and then doesn't get the main event push against Yokozuna.
Not sure why Vince didn't wanna pull the plug on Crush then, and instead opted to turn him heel and then do nothing with him.

I would have taken Bill Fralic over Luger!
Crush would have been a decent choice but don’t see him having much more success than Luger if he’d had the same push. Maybe a heel turn later to feud with Hart en route to a Bret v Yoko WMX match.

I don't see it working any better than Luger. Lex seemed to have a bit more charisma and was better on the mic (which isn't saying much). A little surprised that Scott Steiner couldn't get one leg up.

I actually watched the OSW video on the Lex Express the other day and seeing him do all those interviews and promotional appearances, it was so obvious that Lex wasn't comfortable at all. He just didn't have the Hogan charisma for that particular role.

I loved Crush on 92/93 he was over as hell too. The thing with him never getting his revenge on Doink along with him failing to beat HBK at King of the Ring killed his momentum.
Also Crush has one badass mullet and an epic guitar riff on his entrance music too.

Also Crush has one badass mullet and an epic guitar riff on his entrance music too. Even as a huge Doink fan, the fact that their feud was totally one-sided made it kind of difficult to take Crush seriously as a main event babyface. Doink beat his ass with the cast, defeated him at WrestleMania IX and then cost him his match at King of the Ring. If the endgame of that rivalry was to build Crush they totally botched it because Doink came out on top every time it mattered.
