The Walmarts in my area reset over the last couple days. They moved all the older AEW exclusives to the clearance section, and the Austin Monster Truck, which is good. Wish they would have done that will all the Superstars Hogans. I don't think any of the WWE/Mattel product lost any space, they just moved the stuff around. how much is the monster truck on clearance?

I found one on clearance (that still had the Austin figure as my two stores have had the Austin figure 'missing' forever) for $24.97 and was happy to get it at that price.

I mean, a lot of posts in the Q&A thread are basically him getting yelled at, including the most recent one. I’d ignore a lot of the questions and this place generally too. Yeah Walmart sucks but no need to be mad at Steve. He’s in marketing, not distribution. I believe he does what he can, and sometimes all that he can do maybe is passing along feedback. I get that…but when this has been going on for YEARS and continues to go on in every instance with no real feedback, I understand the frustration. Once again, orders are being cancelled. Arriving absolutely incorrect. And delayed…while these items are on their online store from 3rd parties for a 200-300 percent markup at times…it’s a joke, and an insult. And if you are going to put out a sought after line with anticipated figures…and this, keeps happening…yes, someone should step up and show some transparency.

i think about 90% of the questions in the "Ask Steve" thread are complete nonsense that he wouldn't need to answer anyway.

That said, Steve can only do and say so much. What else are you expecting from him? He’s not going to bury a retail partner. Especially the biggest chain in the world. They’re not going to pull out of any deals because they are the biggest chain in the world. Mattel needs Walmart a lot more than Walmart needs Mattel. People seem to forget that Steve has zero obligations to come and interact with us on these boards. And sure this hobby can be frustrating at times but there are ways to express those frustrations without being a dick.

Where's the transparency- he has never directly addressed the distribution problems, which is arguably the biggest issue facing this line and the source of most of the complaints. Superstars collectors have been completely ignored, never once replying to any question that anyone has asked- even a simple token reply would have been better than no reply at all. People are frustrated and rightly so as on one hand they are pumping out figures like crazy and on the other hand finding these figures is becoming more and more difficult. They need to pump the breaks and cut back the number of releases until they can find a solution to the distribution issues.
Actually he does, he's the one that started up the Q&A thread and decided to interact with collectors/customers, no one forced him to do that. He made himself the 'face' of this line, giving people the impression that they had direct access to someone on the inside who was willing to listen to their feedback and answer their questions. When times were good and people were happy he had no problem coming on the boards and answering questions, now that the line is going through difficulties with the ever worsening distribution and QC issues, he has decided to bail- not very professional IMO.

Agreed, he decided all that. And just as easy as he decided to do that he can easily just remove himself from that position without any actual repercussions as that isn't really part of his jobs. I've mentioned before, my sister's a Monster High collector and they have 0 insight or communication to anybody in the line. Their pre-orders are bloodbaths that sell out under 3-5 min and resell for 3-4 times the price, some go over $1k and there's nobody that listens to the community and fixes those issues. My point is that he doesn't have to answer to any one of us, and he does because he's as much as a collector/fan as we are and cares about what we have to say, but people forget that he is trying to do what he can while still fulfilling his duties to the company or asking for stuff that isn't in his hands and a lot of you guys go after him like its his fault. Also, some of the questions/requests on that thread are downright ridiculous, don't fault him at all for taking breaks or quit the board altogether.

Steve doesn’t work for Walmart. There’s only so much he can do. Walmart distribution isn’t solely a Mattel WWE issue. And they’re not gonna pump the breaks when working with the biggest retailer in the world. If Walmart wants product, they’re gonna provide them with product. They can work with Walmart and make suggestions on how that product gets distributed but at the end of the day once Walmart purchases said product it’s theirs to distribute how they see fit. And yes, Steve chose to interact with us on here but has no obligation to do so whatsoever. No one from Mattel needs to be the face of the brand. It’s not an official position.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side, folks. While the Mattel WWE team aren't perfect, we are really lucky to have a team of wrestling mega fans working on the line. The entitled attitude that some people had that Steve or Mattel "owed" us an explanation on things like distribution (which Steve has answered countless times - they try to provide collector feedback to the distributor, but it's out of their control) or the Macho cancellation is kind of sad.

Macho Man has got to be back, right? 2K is coming out with a “Persona Card” Slim Jim Macho Man for WWE 2K24 But then again 2K may be able to make their own signings for the games, probably with WWE approval if so. 2k(24.32B) is about 4x worth more than Mattel(6.47B) 2k has more money to through around. Also I believe Mattel has been working while in debt I believe. Which is more than 6.46B more than the users of this board, who somehow find the money to throw around on action figures.
