Elite 113 is a great lineup I just want to say, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the YouTube fig fed videos of attitudesback. I was curious after seeing the Cody/Uncle Howdy YouTube video in his signature, and this blew away my expectations, and was really enjoyable. I don't wanna give anything away about why it's so good, but highly worth a view.

I get that…but when this has been going on for YEARS and continues to go on in every instance with no real feedback, I understand the frustration. Once again, orders are being cancelled. Arriving absolutely incorrect. And delayed…while these items are on their online store from 3rd parties for a 200-300 percent markup at times…it’s a joke, and an insult. And if you are going to put out a sought after line with anticipated figures…and this, keeps happening…yes, someone should step up and show some transparency. Theres been complete transparency. That said, Steve can only do and say so much. What else are you expecting from him? He’s not going to bury a retail partner. Especially the biggest chain in the world. They’re not going to pull out of any deals because they are the biggest chain in the world. Mattel needs Walmart a lot more than Walmart needs Mattel. People seem to forget that Steve has zero obligations to come and interact with us on these boards. And sure this hobby can be frustrating at times but there are ways to express those frustrations without being a dick. This is a great point. I can totally understand why Mattel would want to work with Walmart and continue giving them exclusives. It is a partnership with a massive retail giant and is probably a very good financial deal for Mattel. What I understand less is why Walmart cares about having WWE exclusives when they don't stock them or seemingly make any effort to sell them. The toy sections of the Walmarts in my area are almost always empty. I have yet to see a single Monday Night Wars figure, only saw one Ruthless Aggression elite when that line was out, and have given up on Superstars because there has not been a new one on the pegs in months. It isn't like Mattel is failing to make the figures or supply them. This is entirely Walmart's fault, and they don't seem to care to fix it. It is frustrating for collectors and I think Steve has acknowledged that frustration, but it isn't like Mattel is going to walk away from a deal with a corporation the size of Walmart.

Steve Ozer has ZERO say in Walmarts distribution system. lol...the fact that people actually believe that he does is.....something As a marketing rep he certainly can send an email or communicate with someone to give some feedback that there is frustration with things like pre-orders, but he's not flying to Walmart's HQ office and sitting down with Tom Walmart to tell him "hey, make sure all your stores get 57 cases of Monday Night Wars Elites, kthnxbye" Walmart is the problem. Either their ordering system is flawed, or they flat out just don't care because the sales dollars/units are solid. People are buying these figures, whether or not they are in YOUR local store. The only thing corporations care about is their bottom line going up and up and up and up and up. Because that allows them to increase prices, demand more product, etc. The planograms are in place based on whatever the purchasor or buyer wants, there are people way above collectors pay grades making decisions on computers based on numbers. They aren't guys out in stores trying to collect wrestling figures. WWE Mattel is just another cog in the wheel of their business. If the numbers are looking good? they are happy. They won't care about the 57,000 Maivia Legacy 3 packs out on shelves until they hit the clearance aisle and they see the numbers take a dip on that SKU. Is there a better way of doing things? absolutely Does Walmart give a single flying ? absolutely not. There are 4,600 Walmarts in the US alone. 5,400 internationally. They're estimating an amount of product to order from Mattel, and getting it sent to their distribution centers. Next step, out to stores. That's it.

Because the goal is to get our feet into as many stores as possible looking for them in the hopes we buy other things while we're there. It's undoubtedly succeeding in the first part of the equation.

But shouldn't they actually have the figures we are looking for? I go to Walmart, they don't have figures, and I always leave without buying anything. At Target, I find the figures I am looking for and buy other stuff while I am there. I would spend more at Walmart if they sold the product I came in to buy.

I know this is the year of Hogan, but some video came out today that could potentially make Mattel nervous about him - it is political (and we do not need to get into THAT kind of back and forth), and could be worse, but is still not good either.
Only posting about this as this could shut down any more Hogan figures that are not currently past a certain point of the process.

Well, as much as there are other Hulk figures I want, another 5 year break from Hulk figures wouldn't be the worst thing in the world after this past year.

I cannot think of any major (in my mind) looks that have not been done.

Here’s a thought. If you were caught on tape saying racial slurs and somehow survived that by just having to go away for a little while, maybe, just maybe don’t make comments questioning someone’s ethnicity.

I agree. Pedro Morales would be one heckuva choice for a Mattel legends poll, way overdue.
