Losing Filthy Animals Rey is a huge loss. For a line with so many interesting options, the first two waves feel like absolute clunkers.

Don’t tell me he’s canceled??? Steve showed MNW S2 including a pink WCW Rey like the one that was included in the Nitro stage. I'm assuming Steve will address it at some point, but not looking good. |

Right, but you made it sound like collectors made up the name basics when in fact the legitimate assortment name is Basics. Yet it’s not on the packaging. So unless you’re receiving cases (as a retailer), nothing says Basics on the figures. Ya know, the things we actually purchase and have in our collections. I am not disagreeing with you that it does not say it directly on the packaging, but collectors did not magically come up with the name. |

I did think it was odd that they approved an unmasked Rey...I guess it got pulled.
Happy to get the pink attire Rey, but wish it would have come with the robe that the Ultimate was going to.

In my opinion, This Monday night wars line has gone from the most anticipated line to the most disappointing SO fast....
"DIESEL" is a nice touch, and I definitely like that they are doing it but if they aren't getting Rick Bogner's rights to make fake Razor...it's gonna be silly to just have him.
Losing the unmasked Rey is terrible, that was gonna be the standout of the line because of how truly unique it was. I don't mind the replacement and it would have been fine if the unmasked one was never shown....but again, not even gonna get the robe he had on the Ultimate? It's just underwhelming
With Nash, having to cost-cut by now just including removable hair instead of a different head is also a terrible optic.
HHH is barebones too, nWo wolfpack-like attire. I don't even remember when he wore it. We can't even get a DX shirt or belt or something to make this figure look cool on a shelf? Gonna be an instant sell for me.
Something else I noticed, in these first two waves...there is a ton of black coloring attire everywhere on these figures. its just incredibly underwhelming for a line of figures based on the most popular era of wrestling ever. They look and feel dull and boring. There's just nothing exciting about these figures at ALL. most of them are very minimal in deco and accessories.
The only thing about these two waves so far that I actually want are the 2 BAF's. I'm almost thinking about skipping the purchases and buying the BAF's when people start selling them.
Also if they don't fix the distribution problems of these things, it's going to be a complete failure. Nobody is going to be chasing them down

Welp, the MNW line has become a total dud. I was excited for Mysterio most of all and it’s totally ruined.

Im not too enthusiastic about the line, the Stone Cold figure looks great. Always wanted a Mattel of Stone Cold in jeans, it's almost an Ultimate Figure.
But many of them seem like cash grabs and repaints.
Im glad they are releasing the Rey Mysterio figure that was going to be released in the WCW Nitro stage crowdfund and hopefully they release the Hulk Hogan WCW figure next.

I don't know what the big deal is about the MNW figs, they look good to me and they're going to sell regardless. Also, my buddy just told me that he's hearing rumors of the great muta.
