Such a shame about unmasked Rey, was my most wanted of last year's reveals. Saw on IG that AFA has said they will try to revisit one day. Here's hoping!

There are too many lines. It complicates everything. I would rather there be 2 lines.
1. 1. Deluxe (Elite/legends/ultimates/colliseum/entrance greats/etc)
2. Basics (low priced for kids w/out gear)
Then the retros/superstars as sublines.
Just seems so unnecessary to have a summerslam line/ruthless aggression/mnw/etc etc/etc...
I say this having been a previous star wars collector. It all went south for them when they added expanded universe/shadows of the empire and then changed packaging 2 dozen times. Why do we have nostalgia for the hasbro retros, gijoes and the motu line,because the packaging stayed the same and there was just one line. Future generations will remember what? The elites? The ultimates? The legends? Etc why fragment the collector base. We are all in 100 different threads on this forum when we could all be consolidaded in just a few.
Just my opinion.
So yeah sucks about rey but hopefully he will show up in one of the mainlines. Mattel should just focus on the long term lines.

They cancelled the RA line for these btw... yikes Mattel stated upfront that the RA was only going to be 6 series before they moved on to the next line. Walmart hasn't wanted a long-term line that runs indefinitely until the MNW line (supposedly). There isn't an end date, but we all know it isn't going to last very long based off of Walmart's history. It makes sense to switch to MNW - they have a larger selection of MNW Legends to choose from as opposed to RA and the line is from a time when WWE was more popular with the mainstream audience. Most of the RA released are people that still work or are/were involved with the company - Cena, Rey, Booker, Miz, MVP, JBL, HBK, Brock, Shelton (before released), Austin, Taker, Edge (before he left), Rock. The RA line was pretty lackluster too and was only going to get worse if it went on any longer - we were never going to get deep cuts or cool characters/attires (since the RA era shifted away from that). Besides RVD, Miz, finally getting WWE NWO Booker/Nash, and FTIL Bischoff/Torrie, most of the figures were pretty plain/boring (Shelton, Edge, Brock, Rey, Taker etc.) to downright horrible (Austin, MVP). |

But we really need a cloth/soft goods yellow HULKAMANIA shirt very badly. Preferably one tear-away, and one with the Velcro on the back.
Same thing with a HULK RULES shirt with the Velcro on the back.

Same thing with a HULK RULES shirt with the Velcro on the back. hell, with the stretchier fabric they've been using a velcro back may not even be needed. granted it is easier if the arms are removable. but yea (this is based solely off the target macho man ultimate. i don't buy enough figures to know if they use the same fabric across the board) |
