Outsiders seem obvious, and are probably what’s going up, but the promo image doesn’t really fit them so IMO there’s at least a chance it’s something else.

Once his aew contract is up, there’s always a chance WWE will offer him a legends contract. Anything can happen, but it doesn't look good. He stayed away from WWE for decades and is still vocal after 4 years (AEW press conference) about how he was treated in WWE. He doesn't sound like he is in the right headspace to do business with them again, but stranger things have happened. He doesn't need a Legends deal and TK will probably lock him in a merch contract at the very least and maybe more (working backstage). He doesn't need to be an active wrestler in AEW for them to create new merchandise or action figures. A lot of people here think that a WWE Legends deal is the best thing for him to do just because they want more action figures from Mattel. |

I can’t believe people still think Sting is going to sign a Legends deal with WWE rather than sticking with AEW. The guy is loyal and has shown his (confusing) love for Tony Khan and AEW.
We’ll be seeing more Jazwares Sting figures rather than Mattel Sting figures.
And I’m sure The Outsiders Ultimates will go up for pre-order on Wednesday, as well as loose/MOC pictures being shown.

I don't think Sting signing a WWE Legends deal is that outside the realm is possibility one day. Yes, he's taken pops at WWE, but he also has always come off as a very business-driven guy (and I don't mean that in a negative way) and if he thinks it's better financially to do so (especially with the fact that it seems that there at least seems to now be some leeway in negotiating non-exclusivity) I could see him doing it. That said, I don't think it'd be for a while. He's still gonna be locked into AEW for a bit as the go-to Legend IMO.

Could be interesting to see if he can continue working with AEW, maybe as an agent or producer backstage, but sign a merchandise deal with WWE like others have. |
