First nWo appearance of Hulk Hogan, debut Scott Hall, Outsiders Kevin Nash, debut Lex Luger, WWE debut/tryout/ECW invasion RVD. Even a Fake Diesel for the Wrestlecrap collectors. All figures we’ve never seen. It’s also in Series 3. Still plenty of time to get a couple FTITL figures in. I don't know man. All of those figures you mentioned are only going to be purchased by Hogan, Hall Nash and Luger Superfans. Casual fans historically never buy figures of guys in street gear, especially street gear from one random moment in their careers. I'd be shocked if those sold well at all. Those are just as much of a niche want as someone wanting a rare FTITL character. How many series are they planning for this? I worry that if the first 3 don't sell well, they aren't going to keep it going and I have a feeling these won't sell very well, except maybe the Ultimates. Although honestly Ultimates in general tend to warm the shelves wherever I go There’s lots of collectors who want as many looks as possible in their collection. Many iconic moments in wrestling were vignettes, promos, debuts, etc. with the talent in street clothes. I personally would love to display the nWo from Bash at the Beach with Hogan in his red/yellow, then the night after with the black. Historic, memorable and keyword: nostalgic. Companies love feeding off of collector’s nostalgia.

I’m dying to know what some people expected out of the Monday Night Wars line… This. Don't get me wrong, I understand wanting obscure FTITL names. I want them too. But a Monday Night Wars line was always MAINLY going to be the available big names of the era (Austin, Rock, Taker, Hogan, Hall Nash, etc.) in Monday Night Wars-specific "moment" attires. Instead, people are mad that it's not the equivalent of a 1999 New York Yankees set that's all Ricky Ledee. *Now, there are plenty of other issues with the first two MNW sets as far as the bad execution of Hall, Taker's body, the Rey debacle (though that one seems to be out of Mattel's hands), the plainness of Triple H, but none of those are issues with the on-paper lineups.

I ain’t necessarily complaining but for me personally my collection is so big right now that I don’t have room for one off attires. Nash debut woulda been an instant buy 5-10 years ago. Now it’s a pass. Same with Nitro after BATB Hogan. Luger on Nitro debut was a cool moment but don’t need in fig form. Debut Hall I woulda found room for if the fig shown at SDCC is what we got but it isn’t so it’s a pass. See. This line might not be fully for you. Some figures yes, but others no. You seem to be more selective with what you “need” and purchase. Mattel is putting out product they think people will buy. Mostly directed towards collectors who want/“need” to complete everything possible. Again, the collectors in those AFA questions. Asking for re-paints, obscure gimmicks, event specific looks. This line can help them knock out a good amount of looks without taking spots away from their other lines… or leaving another option for Legends with different looks. For a while it was just Legends and 1-2 spots in an Elite line. So much lineage to fit in those options wasn’t enough for the demand. So now we have more options. Legends, Greatest Hits, Ruthless Aggression (didn’t go long enough, in my opinion)/Monday Night Wars, the new From The Vault RSC Exclusives. Yeah I’m not all in on any line. And if a fig ain’t for me then it ain’t no big deal. I don’t ever get upset that something was made that I don’t want or disappointed that something I want isn’t getting made.

That Eddie is amazing. They knocked the sleazy Eddie facial expression out of the park.
Mankind is ok, hope he comes with a less event-specific shirt as an alternate. And he looks too thin to me but that's a general problem I have with all of Mattel's fatter wrestlers.
I'll grab both. Big improvement over wave 1.

Pleasantly surprised by that Eddie, honestly I didn't think much to the renders, but seeing the full protos I really love the new serious scan and hairstyle, and I've hoped a long time we might see the "My Favorite Wrestler" shirt on a figure (albeit I'd rather it have been with a classic WCW Chavo Jr with Pepe horse accessory)

Companies love feeding off of collector’s nostalgia. Sure, but I guess the point I'm trying to make is the only people who would buy figures right now based off of nostalgia are die hard collectors who are the same ones that would buy some obscure character as well. The really rare look of a character crowd and the less known gimmick crowd are the same crowd to me. That's the only reason I don't like the "What do you expect? Rare characters that won't sell?" argument. Because I guarantee that the only people that would buy a random Scott hall in a jean outfit are the same people that would buy guys like the Headbangers. So I don't think it is unreasonable for someone like me to expect some sort of new character in this line or at least something better than a bunch of repaints. I mean I'm not very choosy with what figures I buy. I have a massive collection. I look for any reason to buy a figure and so far they have announced 12 main line elites in this set and I'm only going to buy 1 of them. Then maybe I'll buy Teddy and Disciple on Ebay. That's a pretty low hit rate. I will buy 2 of the 4 ultimates though. Obviously that's just my personal taste.

I just dusted off my HoF Eddie to compare it to this one...look, that figure is fine, the oversized shirt I discarded to the bottom of my accessories bin, but the figure itself is fine. This new UE knocks it out of the park like Mark McGwire after a doctor's visit.

According to Walmart's website, the WWE & AEW exclusives will go up for preorder on Friday the 15th at 10am est.
However Walmart has been know not make mistakes, so everything might be available on Thursday. Just check both days but don't stress if they are not available on Thursday.

As long as they don't screw up the SKUs/UPCs like they did with other Supreme figures, I think that will ship.

Wasn't mankind supposed to come with 2 shirts? Think that was just speculation since he did have a clearly visible job squad shirt under the dress shirt during that match. But it was never said to have come with it.
