You guys are so silly lol. I'll gladly pay a little surcharge to have them shipped to my door with zero hassle/never stepping foot in a walmart ever again. And, again, the original point was Kyle isn't scalping these. He's buying them for HIS OWN COLLECTION. If you have a problem with a collector buying stuff for his own collection I don't know what to tell ya. $36 extra (including shipping) for two figures is not a “small surcharge.” But ok. You can choose to ignore that if you want. You made more than one point in your post and stating these are practically selling for retail plus shipping is just wrong. Like I said in another post, I don’t care that he’s buying multiples for himself. He can do whatever he wants with his money. I bought two Terry Gordys to display one as Terry Gordy and one as Executioner. I don’t see a problem with that. If he wants to buy 3 and spend over $100 to display 3 different facial expressions then more power to him. 2 ultimates for the price of 3

I am HAPPY to pay 15 to get an ultimate shipped directly to my door. I am HAPPY to do that on two separate figures. If you think that's some holy crime against collecting, be my guest. But I am happy to have ZERO hassle, shipped right to my door, no visiting stores, no gas money, no terrible Walmarts. Time is money. Money is money too. The shipping is factored into the extra price. You’re paying $36 over retail for two figures to be shipped to your door. If you want to continue to pay an extra $36 for every 2 figures then that’s your prerogative. It’s your money. I get that they are near impossible to find, but that’s not small chump change. If I had to do that once then I might be ok with it, but I’m not doing that for every two exclusives I need. That’s just insane. I’ll just pass on them.

Maybe it’s because I don’t really collect as a full time hobby, but collecting doesn’t seem fun based on a lot of the discussions here.

Remember folks, it is just opinions, we are all entitled to our own, just like everyone here. Has anyone found any Elite 108 at retail yet? I have most I need except for Terry Gordy, and he is the only one I don’t have on order from WWe shop or Amazon.

I don't give two ****s about any of this stupid bull****, I found the werewolf from Altered Beast today at Walmart! Only $10; Jakks makes 'em alongside their Mario and Sonic lines. All the Brets/Pipers were gone, tons of The Rock boxset remained untouched, and I even found a Superstars Doink. Little by little, this reset is actually happening. Still no MNW figures, but they have the $19.99 sticker for them ready to go.

Maybe it’s because I don’t really collect as a full time hobby, but collecting doesn’t seem fun based on a lot of the discussions here. The fun aspect of collecting wrestling figures has gone way down and there are several reasons for it 1. Tons and tons of re-releases and repaints. So for long time collectors these don't really do anything for them. Just feels like we are getting the same figures over and over again. I do think it is overblown a bit cause we are getting some cool stuff like Headbangers, Sandman etc. but still. This also may be a very selfish thing on my part. But there are some figures that I am proud to display in my collection because they were very hard to find and Mattel is just re-releasing all of them, but a little better looking so it puts me in an awkward spot where the figure isn't as valuable anymore and now there is a new one that exists that is the same exact thing but slightly better so do I spend $24 just to make my current one look a tiny bit better? It's just an annoying thing for me. But I do like that people are able to get figures they weren't able to get originally 2. Everything costs more now. Not Mattel's fault, but that's how everything is now. So the cost of everything going up makes buying the figures less fun 3. It has become extremely difficult finding figures. I used to never have an issue finding main line elites, now they are much more difficult to find. Amazon used to always get them now they hardly get any. Ringside Collectibles stock is lower than it has ever been in terms of figures and they mark everything up to ridiculous prices. Good luck finding anything in stores, Walmart hardly ever restocks anything. Target is the only one that is semi reliable at least in terms of pre-orders. Just look at Carmelo Hayes. That is a main line Elite figure that 5 years ago I would have had no issue ever finding. Yet he never popped up on Amazon. I never see him in stores. I never see him on Ringside. That figure just, for some reason, never showed up. That never used to happen for me. Also add in the fact that we used to have a way to track the stock at Walmart so we didn't have to spend almost $4 a gallon on gas just to drive all over the place. Now it is a guessing game and pretty much every time it's a wasted trip. What about that in any way is fun? 4. This is a personal one. But Build a figures have frustrated the hell out of me. They make so many good BAF characters that I really want but they make me buy 3 or 4 crappy figures just so I can get them. It would be one thing if they packaged them with cool figures but they don't. Take The Disciple for example. That's an awesome figure I would want for my NWO display. But in order to get it I need to spend $48 on Harlem Heat figures that I pretty much already have, another $24 on a Kevin Nash figure I have no use for and then another $24 on a Rob Van Dam figure that maybe I can talk myself into but I really don't need. So I have to spend $100 on 4 figures I don't want just to get one I do.

So I have to spend $100 on 4 figures I don't want just to get one I do. My opinion on this: 1. The current lack of legend wrestlers is definitely an issue, but we are at the mercy of who they sign. Part of this is the fact that the line has gone on for 14 years now - they have truly done a lot of wrestlers over the years, so anyone who has been in at the beginning has a good collection. I personally have only missed one or two figures along the way. Which leads into the second part of your first point - re-releasing older figures only helps Mattel, and they are a business after all. Someone who started collecting in 2019 now can get previously released figures that they have missed so it is a win for them. Mattel doesn't have any investment in X or Y figure being rare and $300 on Ebay - so it is in their best interest to re-release those figures. I get it, and I get why people would be bothered by that, but it just makes sense for Mattel. 2. Nothing we can do about the higher prices. 3. Figure hunting has gotten harder in stores. Amazon seems the most reliable, they do get in the figures, but they seem to get less of them like everyone else - ordering is down across the board, so getting the newer figures at a reasonable price can be challenging. I know I am checking several times a day for the newer waves. Finding these on the shelf at Walmart/Target is kind of my last resort, but so far I have been pretty lucky. 4. This is the nature of the beast. One of the goals of having the BAF is to get people to buy figures they would not otherwise purchase. The recent Wrestlemania wave with Nicholas is the one example of no appeal at all for me. Yet I did get Pat McAfee and The Rock, both needed for my display for Wrestlemania this year. Now, if I can get Cena and Trish cheap, I will to complete Nicholas, but if not, it is not a worry for me. Watching Walmart as they have these and they are not selling. Walmart clearance may be my thing for these.

This is the biggest apples to oranges comparison I’ve ever seen. You can play the same video games of the people you watch. You can’t walk out into Wrigley Field and play center field for the Cubs tomorrow. A tad different. Sorry, my point was who gives a crap lol Well okay then. I like it.

I don't care how angry I get, COLLECTING IS FUN, and being on this board IS FUN. It's all FUN. Nothing but FUN FUN FUN.
