Geez you guys, let it go. WHO CARES! You're exactly right. Who cares? It is cool to enjoy his videos. There is nothing wrong with finding enjoyment in that. But to say that his videos are anything more than that, or to say he is an "asset to the community," is one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard. People like Kyle, Alex West, MDT and many others who work hard to produce content for figure fans are absolutely an asset to the community and a lot of us appreciate it. If you can't see that, that's your opinion. I knew if I defended Kyle for the "outrageous" act of purchasing 3 of the same figure at Wal-Mart I would be flamed by someone but this whole thing has been ridiculous. Now I remember why I rarely post here...

Now I remember why I rarely post here... You act like they are doing us a favor. They don't make these videos as some altruistic good deed to the community. They make videos to make money and gain influencer perks. Not trying to be cynical here, but they wouldn't continue making these videos if they weren't making any money off them. Also, I don't really care that he bought three of the same figure. It is kind of stupid, and I don't really see the need, but it is not like the figures he bought were from my Walmart nor is he scalping them. Not really a big deal.

Kyle's a great dude, some of you guys are nuts. He didn't buy them to re-sell or anything, he bought multiples so he could display them differently with the various heads. And they are easy to find online these days, they're down to 50 shipped on ebay which is basically retail cost + shipping. Geez.

Yes, the cheapest you can find on eBay is $50, but there’s still tax. So let’s say $54 after tax for each. That’s $108 for both Piper and Hart including tax and shipping. These retail for $32.99 so after tax would be around $36 each. That’s $72 for both Piper and Hart. I don’t think shipping costs $36 for two figures… Edit: Also, everything is “easy to find online.” It’s not hard to use a search engine. There’s a difference between easy to find online, and easy to find at a retail/ affordable/ appropriate price.

Yeah I dunno. I sit around and watch people play sports on tv instead of playing said sport, so whatever floats your boat. This is the biggest apples to oranges comparison I’ve ever seen. You can play the same video games of the people you watch. You can’t walk out into Wrigley Field and play center field for the Cubs tomorrow. A tad different. Sorry, my point was who gives a crap lol

I love watching figure reviews where the figure is only 10% of the screen. Also looks like Aj styles

I got both Bret and Piper for 50 shipped each online and could not be happier to never set foot in a walmart. If I'm losing my mind over $5 here and there for a store exclusive figure there's more important stuff to worry about.

I didn’t miss that part because as I proved with the simple algebra, it’s not the same nor is it “basically the same.” A $36 difference (minus shipping) is not “basically the same” as a $5 difference. Let’s say shipping is $15 for the 2 figures in one package. That’s a $21 difference. I don’t know where you are getting $5 from but a $21 difference for every two store exclusives adds up fast. I wouldn’t care if it was a $5 difference either but it’s no where near that.

Not everyone has a chance to grab them and the only resolution is to constantly check Walmarts if you EVEN have one. I would of been okay with this situation had they been online for a period of time or if these figures were not obtainable because they were no longer in production. Mattel should figure out a way to rerelease this Bret Hart/Piper in the future.

You guys are so silly lol. I'll gladly pay a little surcharge to have them shipped to my door with zero hassle/never stepping foot in a walmart ever again.
And, again, the original point was Kyle isn't scalping these. He's buying them for HIS OWN COLLECTION. If you have a problem with a collector buying stuff for his own collection I don't know what to tell ya.

If you have a problem with a collector buying stuff for his own collection I don't know what to tell ya. $36 extra (including shipping) for two figures is not a “small surcharge.” But ok. You can choose to ignore that if you want. You made more than one point in your post and stating these are practically selling for retail plus shipping is just wrong. Like I said in another post, I don’t care that he’s buying multiples for himself. He can do whatever he wants with his money. I bought two Terry Gordys to display one as Terry Gordy and one as Executioner. I don’t see a problem with that. If he wants to buy 3 and spend over $100 to display 3 different facial expressions then more power to him.

I am HAPPY to pay 15 to get an ultimate shipped directly to my door. I am HAPPY to do that on two separate figures. If you think that's some holy crime against collecting, be my guest. But I am happy to have ZERO hassle, shipped right to my door, no visiting stores, no gas money, no terrible Walmarts. Time is money.
