I like that they seem to be going with one babyface/one heel in the line.
Hopefully Captain Lou Albano/Cyndi Lauper is the SDCC exclusive.
I was thinking maybe Red suit Vince McMahon & Jesse The Body Ventura could make up another set.
I think Andre The Giant with an afro & Don Muraco or black karate attire Ricky Steamboat & Don Muraco would be who I would like to see next.

If and when they ever get to Muraco, hope they give him black or blue trunks instead of red like his LJN figure, that's a change I wouldn't mind.
And probably too much to hope for but, Id absolutely love if Steamboat had his red&black attire like on the LJN cardback and poster.

I’m only slightly disappointed that this comes in blue. It would be more true to the original if it was red. But I still have hope that one day we will see Piper in the red Rod Awakening attire. OMG, those tights were horrible, but for some reason I still want them in figure form... It's a sickness, you know... Looks like it will be blue trunks, you can see the blue knee pads, doubt they would do blue knee pads and red trunks.  Why does the shirt on the card pic have red outline on the neck and sleeves - but the one on the figure doesn't!? Which is correct? I think how it is shown is correct, the figure will not have the red outlines on the sleeves and collar, but the artwork will. If you go back to the LJN figure, the figure itself did not have the red outlines, but the poster drawing of Piper did.  I like that they seem to be going with one babyface/one heel in the line. Im no expert on her career but seems like Cyndi Lauper is still relatively relevant these days. She's getting inducted in the rock n roll hall of fame next month and it's the 40th anniversary of her breakthrough album. I could see a set with her and Albano (packaged in a faux gold record case) having crossover appeal. Maybe even a 3-pack with them and Wendi Richter since it looks like they still have access to her. |

So on the Q&A yesterday, Steve suggested the 3rd set would be coming out this Fall, and 4th set previewed at SDCC. I’m so happy to hear this line is continuing! But who do we think will anchor the 4th set? Clearly Steele (and let’s face it, Funk) have proven both figures don’t have to match. But the “anchor” plan seems to remain. If remaining anchors are Hogan (yellow), Andre, Savage, Warrior, and Hart, who’s next? I’d think/hope they wouldn’t do Hogan again in this line so soon. Andre, Savage, and Hart all have upcoming UE’s anyways. So does that leave Warrior as likely next?

I’m hoping for Steamboat and Muraco for the 4th set. I hated that we got babyface/baby blue Muraco a few years ago. Worst version of him IMO. Plus Ricky and Don had a great feud during the LJN days.

I am all in and certainly don’t need an anchor, would love sets like Bigelow/OMG, Dream Team and Nikolai/Sheik- with the old brown LJN style tag titles. *But* I think that until this line really stabilizes (none are sold out), Mattel is going to want to play it safer by going with anchors in each wave- trying to appease more than us “vocal minority.” That said, I just saw an interview from last night(?) on YouTube where Bill called this his “favorite line.” So, maybe we are in for the long haul? 🤞🏼 |

Or even someone he feuded with Not my biggest want for a wrestling figure but yeah absolutely, I would want a Cyndi figure. She'll display very well with Wendi. Don't need a figure for every WWF appearance she did but, yeah, one would be cool to have. |
