The Piper and Steele set are still coming this year. Hang tight for the new sale date. I truly appreciate this response, Steve. I know that I and others have been stirring the anxiety about this, but that is a testament to how invested we are in this line! |

Do you know something we don’t about Piper and/or Steele, similar to the Savage situation? Or just hypothesizing? Not being critical, I’m legitimately wondering myself. I'm not saying that this isn't possible, but if they announced the sale date only a few weeks ago, you'd have to think that someone would know that the expiration was looming, and then just expedite the on-sale date so that they could actually sell through a good chunk of the stock before it expired. It would be pretty dumb on the part of Mattel to announce an on sale date only to later realize that someone is no longer under contract. WHOOPSIE! The difference between these and Savage is that historically these have shipped pretty quickly after the on sale date whereas Savage was presumably still several months from distribution. I could very much be wrong, but I also can't imagine that they'd be dumb enough to post an on sale date such a short time in advance if the possibility were even there that this might not be releasable. I didn’t know if they lost the contract or not, I was just going off past figures being cancelled. But that sale date was out longer than a few weeks ago, they announced the sale date back at the SDCC in July. |

With all the negative response to Bret Harts face, do you think Mattel will try to fix it? I hope so but how many attempts at Bret have we had in the last two/three years alone? Not sure it will get any better - at this points it’s almost become a Mattel gimmick that they’re sticking to. |
