I don’t think Steve will answer my question, so I’ll ask my fellow collector enthusiasts. With the Honky Tonk Man elite being rereleased, do you think that makes him less likely in the CC line? I’d much rather get him in the CC, but don’t want to miss out on him (at a reasonable price) if this ends up as the only upcoming option. Thanks, ya’ll! It would never happen because of the tooling costs, but I would like to see a HTM with a completely sculpted jumpsuit. |

You can ask Steve, just keep the question generic and ask if a Legend's figure being released in other lines will impact what is released in the Coliseum line. If he can answer it, he will. My own speculation is that they try to space Legends out (especially Legends that were not main eventers/anchors) so that might mean he won't be coming soon. On the other hand, Terry Funk's UE was released around the same time that Chainsaw Charlie came out and we have another Terry Funk coming in the Best of Legends line. Since Legend contracts have an end date and arent always renewed, that can be another factor (pushing out as much as possible in all of the lines). |

I just finished the JYD Dark Side of The Ring episode. A tragic life for sure, but also an inspiring and memorable career of breaking barriers. I know we got the LJN look already in Legends, but I’m really wanting him in this line. Plus, we already have the right Ultimate mold, after doing Steele.

We had multiple Jakes released in Legends not too far from his CC release. Same goes for Hogan but he is admittedly not a good comparison. But I personally wouldn’t think it changes his CC potential. The spots in CC can only go to so many guys and Honk is one of ‘em. Also seems like they treat that line as completely separate and really stand alone, if that makes sense.

Another reason they should have re-released the red jumpsuit HTM (in the Best Of Legends) instead of the blue one: if they make a CC figure, the jumpsuit will/should be blue. It's a different pattern (with red bits)... but it's still mainly blue again.
Do you guys think they should stick to the same LJN attire in the CC - or would any attire from that era be OK? (eg. HTM in a red or black
jumpsuit?)

I would bet he is in the next lineup, I thought the same thing after I saw the Steele figure. I hope we get a fro version and a shorter hair version along with the classic baby blue t shirt. |

Man, I've been going back and watching some Golden Era (starting with Sheik beating Backlund) and I tell ya, now I really want a solid Tito Santana figure in the CC line. I didn't think much of him as a kid, but going back and watching his stuff now he was so, so good.

Question for ya’ll. I recall from Mania that Steve suggested series 4 of this set would be revealed at SDCC, while series 3 (Piper/Steele) will be available in the Fall. I know series 4 *could* wait until next Spring to actually be available, following this year’s pattern with series 2 (Roberts/Rude). But, that set wasn’t revealed until last Fall after the series 1 release. So, my hope is that series 4 also comes out this year. What do you think? This is my favorite Mattel line, but it only being twice a year is brutal! And on that note, are we optimistic it will continue beyond the likely Macho, Bret, and Warrior “anchors?”
