Hoping that the Rock has something that sets it apart(other than packaging) from the Amazon one. Pumped for the Bret! Glad they are beginning to upgrade the older elites with the newer technology. It’ll have the new butterfly shoulders, pinless joints, etc. |

I’m just hoping we could get a Hollywood Rock ultimate. Now that would be a beauty. Although, realistically idk how Mattel would get away with a sculpted belt if the pants were removable. It could come with the vest, pants, guitar. The belt is the only thing that would be somewhat of an issue. Unless, it’s a separate piece that ties around like Hogan’s waist belt.

I kind of wish the third head for the Rock was the one that he originally came with and not the Rock n Sock head. Hopefully a re-release of that headscult comes with another Rock figure, because I really want a natural face for the Rock.

The alternate head on the right looks pretty neutral, no? It's more smirking than a expressionless face. It is still not a bad headscan, but I would like to have the head that came with the original. Other than that the figure will be just as awesome especially with he upgrades. |

That’s  ing stupid. Glad I have my Amazon ones then (I buy at least two of every Ultimate). I never got the chance to get the original UE Rock, but I am glad to at least get this. Hopefully that head from the original comes on an elite so it wouldn't be "exclusive" to the first UE especially since it is the only way to have it with the interchangeable feature. |

He also had those exact logos in pink in silver, that would be cool to see instead of same blue or red variants. |

The Bret was easily my favorite reveal from SDCC. I came in super late to the Mattel line with Ultimate NWO Hogan. I missed Defining Moments Bret, the RSC all pink Bret & the KOTR Bret. At the time the first Ultimate Bret was already sitting around $90 and tbh I always hated the paint splatter gear. So this is an easy pick up for me. The default head looks to be the same as the Elite 94, which is fine. I'm hoping the other two come out looking as good as the do in the renders. Not going to get my hopes up though for the proper metallic pink shades though, because they haven't gotten it right once.
As for The Rock; I'll probably get it because I missed out on the Ultimate, but I've been fine with my Rock & Sock 2 pack Rock to represent that era up to this point. So I'm not as excited for him.

You’ll have to hollow out the peg hole inside the head to allow it to pop on and off the Ultimate easier, but yeah, it was released with other figures. In fact, the battle pack has those Brahma Bull elbow pads Rock wore for a while, so if this new Ultimate doesn’t have them, that might be something cool to add to make it a little different from the Amazon version. |

I already have multiple elites of both, and I don't play with them so extra articulation doesn't mean that much to me, so I won't be buying them.
That said, i would be a lot more tempted to get Bret if his jacket was a cloth material. I really dislike the concept of a rubber jacket and a whole separate set of arms that need to be replaced. I think it looks cheap when MOC and is awkward when loose.

The Brahma Bull Elbow Pads are in my top 10 accessories for how cool/detailed they are. Still have the ones Jakks made when I was a kid. Would be incredible to get another set of them, especially since they also came in blue.

So glad they are doing Bret again. Iam getting 2 because I want a jacket to put on Jim Niedhart as well.. But I wonder if they'll do swappable arms instead of a full jacket.
