I really hope with the Rock being practically all existing parts, we can get some cool accessories, especially for those of us who already have the first release. I know they have said the Deco will be different but that’s not exactly groundbreaking.
I would love them to put the full black tracksuit with two white stripes that he wore a fair amount in the attitude era.

This is the only figure of the rock that I would buy post Nation. I have the basic version of this from that TRU exclusive pack but I don’t love the head on it. I had a BCA figure of this and it’s one of my favorite figures from my childhood so that attire has a special place for me |

I wonder if they'll do SummerSlam '98 again with the purple & gold logos. I guess they could do all silver too.
Still I'd rather have the same red and silver trunks as the AMZ excl but with the People's Elbow pad logos and his tanktop from the Y2J debut.

Then it was this attire  Until Summerslam 1998 or just before and he began wearing a gold version of his iconic attire  |

I would pay an extra $10 on an Ultimate Bret like this if it would mean a soft goods jacket. If they can do it for Cody and all those colors they can do it here. Sorry to if I seem high and mighty, but Soft goods make a figure IMO. Try buying a Defining moments Bret without his jacket!

I prefer soft on tee shirts and plain leather jackets, but feel limit never looks right in this scale on anything that has to be intricately detailed. For example, as soft goods on this Bret would likely downgrade it from must buy to maybe if I see it for me. Not saying either of us is “wrong” just interesting to me. |

Personally, I love how they do Brets jackets on Ultimates. Soft good ones just don’t sit as well to me.

I'm a big advocate for soft goods for shirts and plain jackets, but the jackets they use for the Ultimate Brets are preferable IMO. Just my opinion 🙂
Edit: By plain jackets I mean HHH BoAE, DM Bret, Legends X-Pac.
For the ones with epaulettes, plastic is probably better plus the arms are generally easier to pose and make it look right.

I still think that scan is superb, probably the best Mattel Bret scan thus far. I don’t necessarily love the hair, but it is what it is. I just want my damn black WCW singlet Bret. I don’t get why it hasn’t been a priority. People want his ‘97 SS look/rerelease of the DM attire. This is the perfect version to satisfy all those consumers, plus it’s a new attire. If I had it my way too, it’d be an UE.

I strongly prefer molded jackets and shirts. Cloth goods tend to make a figure an easy pass for me.
I do wish the Bret was pink and black. Might have to get some different legs swapped onto this torso.
