SummerSlam 1991: This is my favorite of all the SummerSlam events, I was all in on Hogan and Warrior as a team, Bret vs Perfect, LOD vs Nasty Boys, Mountie vs Big Bossman! It is just a really entertaining PPV from start to end.
SummerSlam 1992: I may have mentioned it about 100000 times, but I was actually there live for this one. This is very close to 1991 in terms of being my favorite. My only gripe with this one is that I wish we got LOD vs The Beverly Brothers on the show.
SummerSlam 1990: I feel the format of this show is very similar to 1991, I also love the intro for this and SummerSlam 1991. Warrior vs Rude is awesome, Demolition vs Hart Foundation is one of my favorite tag team matches of all time and as a kid I was so into the Texas Tornado when he beat Mr. Perfect for the IC title I was jumping around like a crazy person!
SummerSlam 2000: I think if I were to ever do a list of the most underrated PPVs of all time SummerSlam 2000 would be on it. THe main event is fantastic, you also have the first TLC and this is also one of my favorite Undertaker vs Kane matches, even if it very short.
My first three are a lock, but the fourth spot could easily be 2000, 1998 or 2002.

Summer Slam 1989 - three, really good matches. All other matches were good, no stinkers.
Summer Slam 1991 - first PPV I remember seeing, the Bret/Perfect match was soooo good. I liked the main event too. The opening match, mountie/bossman, and LOD/Nasty Boys were all good matches as well.
Summer Slam 1992 - good PPV with a great visual. To excellent matches in Bret/Davey and Macho/Warrior. Shawn and Martel had a fun match as well.
Summer Slam 1990 - another good PPV. Three really good match Harts/Demolition, Warrior/Rude and Hogan/Earthquake. The Rockers/Power and Glory match was really good, all things considered. They really made a good match, even without HBK. Two disappointments for me, Tornado/Perfect and Macho/Dusty. I think they gave them 10 minutes combined for their matches. Both should have had more time.
close calls: Summer Slam 1988 - loved the main event, the Warrior win was awesome, the Harts/Demolition match was good. Bulldogs/Rougeau's was also good. Kind of strange that they didn't have Jake/Rude on the event.
Summer Slam 1993 - a good PPV, kind of ruined by Luger not winning at the end. Steiners/Heavenly Bodies was a very good match. Bret/Doink/Lawler matches were good too.

1989 - first SS I got. I remember getting it for my birthday and couldn’t wait for my party to finish so I could watch it. Was tired the next day at school but totally worth it. Brain Busters v Harts stood out for me and got a kick out of Honky being confused after the guitar shot. The six man with Demolition et Al was a good brawl as well. The main event was good for a spectacle as well.
1990 - another great event. Harts v Demo was a good match. I loved the finish to the Hogan match, even though I’m not usually a fan of unclean finishes. The cage match was great as well.
1991 - possibly my all time favourite Summerslam. 91was such a great year for PPV, always felt there was something different about the year. Loved the first match. Such a great opener. Bret v Perfect was superb. I remember reading a story about perfect being injured but still put in a hell of a show because of his desire to put Bret over. Always makes me smile. Really enjoyed the handicap match as well. The Mountie’s performance was priceless. Jacques Rougeau was such a talent.
1993 - another event I really enjoyed. Loved the whole Dibiase/Razor/123 kid storyline so a good blow off here. The Kid v IRS was a really good match as well. Always liked the Heavenly Bodies (another underrated team) and their match with the Steiners was good. Bret v Doink was a great match too. The main event finish could have been better but I had no problem with Yoko retaining.

2000 is my favourite.
91 is up there for me.
92 just due to being British and loving the main event.
2002 for definite.
Any of 2000-2006 could be on this list. I love all of those shows.

In no particular order...
1990 - Title changes, great wrestling, story lines ending, story lines beginning, two big main event matches. It had it all!
1991 - This event was way a head of its time. False finishes of finishing moves, blood, swearing, hardcore wrestling, technical wrestling, it is an amazing event!
1997 - The WWF was so exciting in the summer of 1997 with the Canadian fans vs. American fans situation with the Hart Foundation, Austin, HBK, Undertaker, etc. that this was just the icing on the cake!
2002 - This was such a solid PPV from top to bottom. Every match was enjoyable and the PPV for only being 3 hours long goes by so fast because of all the excitement involved with it.

- 1991: Great card headlined by a classic.
- 1992: One of the best atmospheres the WWE ever created and a solid card with a great main event.
- 1997: This is when the WWF started to really hit their stride IMO. Great stories and matches that are sadly overshadowed by Austin’s injury.
- 2002: One of the best cards the WWE has ever put on. When the worst match on the card is Booker T/Goldust vs Christian/Storm, you got something good.
